And when Silas and Timotheus were come from Macedonia, Paul was pressed in the spirit, and testified to the Jews that Jesus was Christ. And when they opposed themselves, and blasphemed, he shook his raiment, and said unto them, Your blood be upon your own heads; I am clean: from henceforth I will go unto the Gentiles. (Acts 18:5-6)
Though God is not willing that any should perish, He had stated that though the Gospel went to the Jew first it would also go to the Gentiles. The national veil and blindness which is upon the Jews because of their desire for a Messiah who would be King (and when He comes the second time He will be) causes many Jews to miss the first advent of Jesus Christ, The Son of God who is God the Son, and who is the Messiah of God. They reject any idea that Jesus put to death the flesh for sin as the final sacrifice, fulfilling all the prophecies and types concerning Him and His first earthly ministry, and that He is God in the flesh, fully God and fully man. Those who hear and believe, Jew and Gentile, are saved by the power of God, through repentance and faith in Him and His finished and perfect work on the Cross of Calvary, and are delivered from their sin by His grace.
God has called His people to share His message of Hope, through faith in Christ, to this broken and dying world, that all may indeed hear the Word of God and believe, putting their trust in Jesus Christ, our Saviour and our God, for forgiveness and regeneration. His promise of a new life in Christ and not just Christ in our old life leads us to a life of righteousness through the Spirit of God and growth in Him through His Word engrafted in us. We are baptized to show our faith in Christ and our death to our old life and our new life in Christ, resurrected with Christ to walk in newness of life, an eternal life that is truly life and begins the moment we believe. We are to tell all who will hear of His mercy, grace, and love. We also speak of justice and judgment for God has already judged all as sinners and deserving of death, but we share the Good News that Jesus Christ has already satisfied the Father’s wrath for those who will receive it.
In order to reach others with the Gospel, God calls His people to holiness and obedience to Him that we might minister to those around us who are hurting and in need as He provides. We serve others, equipped with the Word of reconciliation and righteousness, rightly divided and fitly spoken, that they may see Christ in us, the hope of Glory. Our GOD has commanded us to love one another with an unfeigned love, even as He first loved us, and to disciple one another in the Word of GOD so that we may all grow in grace and in the Knowledge of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Our Lord has commissioned those who are His with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, to go where He sends us in the power of the Holy Spirit. As we go, we are to proclaim the Good News of forgiveness through repentance and reconciliation with the Father through faith in His Son, that those who believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Messiah of GOD might have life in His Name.
GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance and the knowledge of the Truth. Jesus loves you and wants to establish a covenant relationship with you that is real and personal. Surrender to Him on His terms and He will give you a brand new life of discipleship and fellowship with Him that is abundant and everlasting. GOD calls you to faith in Christ and His finished and perfect work on the Cross of Calvary to pay your sIn debt. He has provided the only way of reconciliation with GOD, forgiveness from GOD, and Salvation through Jesus Christ, the Son of GOD who is GOD the Son, to give you a new life in Christ. Turn away from yourself and your sIn and turn to Him alone for eternal Life, now and always.
In Christ,
