For ever, O LORD, Thy Word is settled in Heaven. Thy faithfulness is unto all generations: Thou hast established the earth, and it abideth. They continue this day according to Thine Ordinances: for all are Thy servants. Unless Thy Law had been my delights, I should then have perished in mine affliction. I will never forget Thy Precepts: for with them Thou hast quickened me. I am Thine, save me; for I have sought Thy Precepts. The wicked have waited for me to destroy me: but I will consider Thy Testimonies. I have seen an end of all perfection: but Thy Commandment is exceeding broad. (Psalms 119:89-96)
The inerrant, infallible, inspired Word of GOD is Truth, it teaches us of GOD, and corrects our errors. It records His Story, the accounts He wants us to know. It reveals Himself, and His ways, from the creation of all things, and our corruption of His perfect work, to the catastrophe that destroyed the world that then was. From GOD's dealings with the patriarchs down through the nation of Israel, to the coming of His Son as a man, to Jesus Christ offering Himself on that cruel Roman cross for our sIn and being glorified in the Ressurection, GOD's Word shows us ourselves, and our need of Him and also tells of our future with Him for those that believe.
We study to know Him, we learn His Word to share the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ with others that they might know Him and the power of His Salvation. We study to know ourselves and to be conformed to the image of His dear Son, as the Spirit guides into all Truth. It is our guide, His record of what He has done, is doing, and will do for those that believe, and for those that don't.
For, GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance and the knowledge of the Truth. Jesus loves you and wants to establish a covenant relationship with you that is real and personal. Believe His Word, surrendering to Him on His terms, and receive Him by faith in His finished and perfect work on the Cross of Calvary, and He will give you a brand new life of discipleship and fellowship with Him that is abundant and everlasting. He is willing and waiting to give you His Salvation and forgiveness if you will trust Him today.
In Christ,
