Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will cause an alarm of war to be heard in Rabbah of the Ammonites; and it shall be a desolate heap, and her daughters shall be burned with fire: then shall Israel be heir unto them that were his heirs, saith the LORD. Howl, O Heshbon, for Ai is spoiled: cry, ye daughters of Rabbah, gird you with sackcloth; lament, and run to and fro by the hedges; for their king shall go into captivity, and his priests and his princes together. Wherefore gloriest thou in the valleys, thy flowing valley, O backsliding daughter? that trusted in her treasures, saying, Who shall come unto me? (Jeremiah 49:2-4)
Even in the Church, those that continue to fight against something GOD wants them to do, will eventually be either cast aside and of no more use to the Kingdom, or taken Home to await the Judgment of Christ. We must, if we want to do anything effectively for GOD, be obedient to Him, and surrender to Him on His terms, just as we did when we came to Him for His Salvation. Whether it is repentance for sIn, or surrender to a particular mission or ministry, the practice is the same, to die to self and turn to our loving Father with no agenda of our own, simply "Thy Will be done." We can either be under the judgment and chastisement of GOD for our disobedience and backsliding, or we can give up ourselves and let Him live in and through us to accomplish His Will and work.
If you don't yet know GOD, understand that His wrath is upon you. But, He is not willing that any should perish, but wants you to come to the knowledge of the truth. Jesus loves you, and wants to establish a covenant relationship with you that is real and personal. GOD says that you must be born again, and receive by Faith in His finished work on the Cross of Calvary for your sIn, a brand new life of discipleship and fellowship with Him that is abundant and everlasting. It is your choice, reject Him and remain under judgment as these nations did, or surrender to Him on His terms, and receive eternal life.
We all have a choice: Choose wisely and live.
In Christ,
