For thus saith the Lord GOD; The sword of the king of Babylon shall come upon thee. By the swords of the mighty will I cause thy multitude to fall, the terrible of the nations, all of them: and they shall spoil the pomp of Egypt, and all the multitude thereof shall be destroyed. I will destroy also all the beasts thereof from beside the great waters; neither shall the foot of man trouble them any more, nor the hoofs of beasts trouble them. Then will I make their waters deep, and cause their rivers to run like oil, saith the Lord GOD. (Ezekiel 32:11-14)
Egypt had been, and continues to be, though not as it once was, a troubler of Israel. Ever since they turned the hospitality of one of their pharoahs into slavery, Egypt has been a picture and type of the world opposed to GOD and the people of GOD. GOD has judged them, and will judge those of His who seek to return to Egypt once they are delivered from their captivity.
Whether it is the bondage of slavery, or of the captivity of sIn, we must not return to those unprofitable and beggarly desires of sIn that once held us in bondage. We are free in Christ. Now that is not a license to sIn all we want, but to want to sIn less and less as we grow in Christ and become more like Him. The farther we get from the Egyptian mindset (worldview) and the closer we get to GOD, the more He will make us fit for His Kingdom.
Many of you are still in the bondage of sIn, and the wages of sIn is death. But GOD is not willing that any should perish, but wants you to come to the knowledge of the Truth. Jesus loves you and wants to establish a covenant relationship with you that is real and personal. He said you must be born again, and that you must surrender to Him on His terms. Repent, that is turn away from your sIn, and turn to Him and let Him give you a brand new life of discipleship and fellowship with Him that is abundant and everlasting. Believe His Word and trust that His finished work on the Cross of Calvary is sufficient to pay your sIn debt, and receive Him by Faith today.
In Christ,
