How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with Him. And we are witnesses of all things which He did both in the land of the Jews, and in Jerusalem; whom they slew and hanged on a tree: Him God raised up the third day, and shewed Him openly; Not to all the people, but unto witnesses chosen before of God, even to us, who did eat and drink with Him after He rose from the dead. And He commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is He which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead. To Him give all the prophets witness, that through His Name whosoever believeth in Him shall receive remission of sins. (Acts 10:38-43)
Jesus Christ came to this earth to minister, to give His life a ransom for many, but though He came first to the Jews, as God had determined before the foundation of the world, His salvation is not for the Jews only, but for all who will repent and receive Him by faith in His finished and perfect work on the Cross of Calvary. Cornelius demonstrated that though a Gentile he believed in the Messiah and trusted Him for his salvation. His faith was counted for righteousness and he was counted as a disciple of the church and testified of his salvation with his baptism which followed.
God’s church is called to take the Gospel, the good news of Jesus Christ to all who will hear. We go where He sends us, and speak His Word that others might be saved. God is not willing that any should perish, and has commissioned His church to bear His message of hope, yes of judgment as well, and faith in Christ for redemption and deliverance from sin to this whole world. From our community, to our county, to our country, and wherever God would have us to go, we are to be His messengers, His preachers, His proclaimers of all that He has done and is doing and of His great Salvation to all who will receive Him.
God calls all His people to holiness and obedience to Him that we might minister to those around us who are hurting and in need as He provides. We serve others, equipped with the Word of reconciliation and righteousness, rightly divided and fitly spoken, that they may see Christ in us, the hope of Glory. Our GOD has commanded us to love one another with an unfeigned love, even as He first loved us, and to disciple one another in the Word of GOD so that we may all grow in grace and in the Knowledge of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Our Lord has commissioned those who are His with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, to go where He sends us in the power of the Holy Spirit. As we go, we are to proclaim the Good News of forgiveness through repentance and reconciliation with the Father through faith in His Son, that those who believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Messiah of GOD might have life in His Name.
GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance and the knowledge of the Truth. Jesus loves you and wants to establish a covenant relationship with you that is real and personal. Surrender to Him on His terms and He will give you a brand new life of discipleship and fellowship with Him that is abundant and everlasting. GOD calls you to faith in Christ and His finished and perfect work on the Cross of Calvary to pay your sIn debt. He has provided the only way of reconciliation with GOD, forgiveness from GOD, and Salvation through Jesus Christ, the Son of GOD who is GOD the Son, to give you a new life in Christ. Turn away from yourself and your sIn and turn to Him alone for eternal Life, now and always.
In Christ,
