Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain. It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so He giveth His beloved sleep. Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is His reward. As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth. Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate. (Psalms 127:1-5)
We who are in the church, as His blood-bought children, must rest in Him and not try to carry the burdens of this world ourselves. He has already said that He cares for us and His promises are true. His burden is light, and His work is not burdensome, we are the ones who make it so. Rest in the Lord even as we work and do His will.
We rejoice in the arrival of new little ones to the family, how much more should we rejoice in the addition of those who have surrendered to GOD on His terms and been born again and added to GOD's forever family. We share the good news of the first birth, we must be more vigilant to share the Good News of Jesus Christ and His finished work on the Cross of Calvary, so people can believe and receive by faith in Him the second birth and eternal life.
For GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance and the knowledge of the Truth. Jesus loves you and wants to establish a covenant relationship with you that is real and personal. Trust Him for Salvation, and believe His Word that He took your sIn upon Himself, and He will give you a brand new life of discipleship and fellowship with Him that is abundant and everlasting. Enter into His rest, and become a forever child of the King.
In Christ,
