Thus saith the LORD; Behold, waters rise up out of the north, and shall be an overflowing flood, and shall overflow the land, and all that is therein; the city, and them that dwell therein: then the men shall cry, and all the inhabitants of the land shall howl. At the noise of the stamping of the hoofs of his strong horses, at the rushing of his chariots, and at the rumbling of his wheels, the fathers shall not look back to their children for feebleness of hands; Because of the day that cometh to spoil all the Philistines, and to cut off from Tyrus and Zidon every helper that remaineth: for the LORD will spoil the Philistines, the remnant of the country of Caphtor. Baldness is come upon Gaza; Ashkelon is cut off with the remnant of their valley: how long wilt thou cut thyself? (Jeremiah 47:2-5)
GOD is still in control, and has not forgotten His people, even when their plight seems to be at its worst, and our enemies seem to be attacking and infiltrating from every direction. We must trust Him to avenge where necessary, and act on behalf of His people in order to accomplish His work and plan. He has not forgotten Israel, nor will He abandon His Church. But, everything must work in His good timing to bring out His expected end on behalf of those that love Him and those that He has chosen. We cannot look to the world and its ways, since they are in opposition to GOD for our solutions, or our ministry successes. We must wait on GOD, and observe to do all that He has commanded us to do while we wait.
For those that do not know GOD, and have never been born again by faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ on the Cross of Calvary, you do not yet have the security of GOD's faithfulness on your behalf. But, GOD is not willing that you should perish, but wants you to come to a knowledge of the Truth. Jesus loves you and wants to establish a covenant relationship with you that is real and personal. He calls you to repent, surrender to Him on His terms and believe, then you will receive a brand new life of discipleship and fellowship with Him that is abundant and everlasting.
For the Believer, trust GOD to handle our enemies, and preach Christ.
In Christ,
