How do ye say, We are wise, and the Law of the LORD is with us? Lo, certainly in vain made He it; the pen of the scribes is in vain. The wise men are ashamed, they are dismayed and taken: lo, they have rejected the Word of the LORD; and what wisdom is in them? Therefore will I give their wives unto others, and their fields to them that shall inherit them: for every one from the least even unto the greatest is given to covetousness, from the prophet even unto the priest every one dealeth falsely. For they have healed the hurt of the daughter of My people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace. Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore shall they fall among them that fall: in the time of their visitation they shall be cast down, saith the LORD. (Jeremiah 8:8-12)
We in the Church are no better. Too many who claim the name 'Christian' use it to mean 'good' but according to their own definition, and it has no real Biblical signifigance to them. They are in reality no more christian than any other 'good' person that doesn't know Christ, and has no interest in the things of GOD. Just as the Jews had in practice all but ignored GOD and violated His principles all the while clinging to the 'promise' of them being the 'Chosen People' so the people of the Church have cast aside GOD's Authority for political correctness and comfortable expediency. They shall have neither, for if we are truly His He will not leave us alone nor is He mocked. His justice is pure and He is Holy and will chastise His own, and judge all the nations that forget GOD.
But, Jesus is not willing that you should perish. He wants you to surrender to Him on His terms and be born again. He desires a relationship with you by faith in His finished work on the Cross of Calvary that is abundant and everlasting. Believe Him and His work and receive His forgiveness today.
Be obedient to Christ and His Word and live in true peace with the Prince of Peace.
In Christ,
