One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind. He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks. For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself. For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's. For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that He might be Lord both of the dead and living. (Rom 14:5-9)
The same is true with what we choose to eat, since all is to be received with thanksgiving. If we choose to eat particular foods, or on particular days, or not, we do so in thanksgiving to the Lord, our provider, and bless Him for all His bountiful blessings. While respecting and loving those who feel and do differently than we do, we are free in the Lord to follow Him and serve Him, and if He wills, even to die for Him, even as we die daily to sIn and ourselves to offer our bodies to Him as His disciples.
Each of us who have received Jesus Christ through faith in His finished and perfect work on the Cross of Calvary is compelled by our love for GOD and His grace toward us to minister to those around us. As His ambassadors, we are to share Him with those without, that they too may be forgiven and delivered from the bondage of sIn, and set at Liberty to live in Christ. We are to serve of ourselves, and corporately through a local congregation, to those who are hurting and in need, as He provides. We are to disciple one another in the Word and love one another so we all may grow in grace and the knowledge of Him and all may know we are His disciples by our love. We are to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ to all we meet, and as we go, make disciples and teaching His commands, that those who believe the Gospel and repent may receive eternal life in His Name.
For GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance and the knowledge of the Truth. Jesus loves you and wants to establish a covenant relationship with you that is real and personal. Surrender to Him on His terms and He will give you a brand new life of discipleship and fellowship with Him that is abundant and everlasting. GOD calls you to trust Him and what He has already done for you to pay your sIn debt. He has provided the only way of reconciliation with GOD with forgiveness and Salvation through Jesus Christ, the Son of GOD who is GOD the Son, to give you a new life in Christ. Turn away from yourself and your sIn and turn to Him alone for eternal Life, now and always.
In Christ,
