And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven, And sware by Him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer: But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of GOD should be finished, as He hath declared to His servants the prophets. And the voice which I heard from heaven spake unto me again, and said, Go and take the little book which is open in the hand of the angel which standeth upon the sea and upon the earth. (Rev 10:5-8)
Some of what The Spirit has to say to us is not pleasant at the moment, for GOD is revealing to us things that are not pleasing to Him. Some are not agreeable, for they tell of judgements, that while just and deserved, we don't feel they are fair. Our fallen human nature continues to argue and rebel against our Creator. We forget that it is because of His mercy that we are not all consumed, for we are all guilty before our righteous and Holy GOD. We have a command and a mission to tell this lost and dying world of the grace that GOD extends to those who are under condemnation for their sIn, to be forgiven and receive the only true Salvation that will reconcile us to GOD through the finished and perfect work of Christ on the Cross of Calvary. That is the Good News of the Gospel that we must proclaim while there is still time and we are still here.
For GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance and the knowledge of the Truth. Jesus loves you and wants to establish a covenant relationship with you that is real and personal. While agreeing with GOD and acknowledging our sIn can be a bitter realization, if you forsake it and turn to Him, surrendering to Him on His terms, He will give you a brand new life of discipleship and fellowship with Him that is abundant and everlasting. Believe His Word and receive Him by faith, not to continue in sIn, but a pardon that frees us to live and serve Him for He is worthy.
In Christ,
