creepeth upon the earth, after their kinds, went forth out of the ark. And Noah builded an altar unto the LORD; and took of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the altar. And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in His heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done. While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease. (Gen 8:18-22) And Noah went forth, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons' wives with him: Every beast, every creeping thing, and every fowl, and whatsoever
In response to Noah's worship, GOD promised to never flood the whole earth again, and that all would remain until GOD brings the final judgment on this earth with fire. Even though all people are sinners, and GOD must punish sIn, GOD in His mercy allows all people the opportunity to surrender to Him on His terms and trust in Him for Salvation. Faith in Him and His finished and perfect work on the Cross of Calvary has always been the plan, there is no plan B. Those that believed before Jesus Christ, The Son of GOD who is GOD the Son, stepped out of Heaven and went willing and humbly to that cruel Roman cross, looked ahead in faith in what He had promised. Today, we look back and believe, and await His return for His own, and to carry out that final judgment on all who have rejected His free offer of forgiveness and reconciliation with Him.
Those of us in the Church must go and tell, and as we go we are to warn the unruly, shine in the darkness, and be salt and light wherever GOD puts us. GOD commands us to minister to the hurting as He gives the increase, disciple one another in love and in the Word, and to proclaim the Good News of Salvation in Jesus Christ to all who will hear and believe. That is why He has left us here, and what we are to do until He takes us Home to Himself. Just as someone did for us, we must take His Word to this lost and dying world that they might believe, and believing have life in His Name.
For GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance and the knowledge of the Truth. Jesus loves you and wants to establish a covenant relationship with you that is real and personal. Surrender to Him on His terms and believe His Word and He will give you a brand new life of discipleship and fellowship with Him that is abundant and everlasting. Trust Him as Noah did and receive Him by faith in what He did for you and your sIn and Salvation.
In Christ,
