And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body. And He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in My Father's Kingdom. (Mat 26:26-29)
Each time we celebrate we are to remember our Lord's death, and His return for His own. We are to remember, in the symbols of unleavened bread and grape juice, the humble and willing sacrificial death of His body, His resurrection by the power of GOD, and His return to an earthly Kingdom and the consummation of all things. We are to do this in remembrance of Him. The bread and fruit of the vine don't save us, it is our Lord that saves; they are symbols, we can't call Jesus out of Heaven into anything, for He is GOD the Son who is the Son of GOD.
We are told to remember Him, often and celebrate not only His death in our place, but rejoice in His life, that is now in us because of our faith in His finished and perfect work on the Cross of Calvary. We are to observe to do all that He has commanded us, rightly dividing the Word of Truth. We are to teach all nations, baptizing them in the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. We are to minister to the hurting and to the lost, that they may come to know Jesus as we have. We are to disciple one another in love and in His Word that we may grow thereby, and all may know that we are His disciples. We are commanded to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ, and the forgiveness and Salvation that comes from repentance and faith in Him. As we go, we are to take the Gospel with us, and share Him with those around us, that they may hear and believe, and in believing have life in His Name.
For GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance and the knowledge of the Truth. Jesus loves you and wants to establish a covenant relationship with you that is real and personal. Surrender to Him on His terms and He will give you a brand new life of discipleship and fellowship with Him that is abundant and everlasting. GOD calls you to trust Him and what He has already done for you to pay your sIn debt. He has provided the only way of reconciliation with GOD with forgiveness and Salvation through Jesus Christ, the Son of GOD who is GOD the Son, to give you a new life in Christ. Turn away from yourself and your sIn and turn to Him alone for eternal Life, now and always.
In Christ,
