But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ

Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, And be found in Him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the Law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of GOD by faith: That I may know Him, and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable unto His death; If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead. Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus. Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of GOD in Christ Jesus. (Php 3:8-14)
Those things we did before Christ, whether to earn Heaven when we cannot, or out of ignorance and our sIn nature, are forgiven for those in Christ, covered by His blood because we repented of them, and placed our faith and trust in His finished and perfect work on the Cross of Calvary that paid the price for those sins. Though we can, as Paul did, testify of what GOD has brought us from and through, we should not live in the past. If we are forgiven by GOD, the guilt for our sIn is gone, and we ought to move forward, forgiving ourselves, and continue in the Way through His power in us to deliver us from sIn, from the works of the Law which cannot save us, from our  own righteousness which is as filthy rags, and put on Christ.

For those who have believed and been born again by our faith in Him, we know Him through experience, through His Word mixed with faith, without which no man can please GOD, and through His Spirit within us. We reckon ourselves dead to ourselves, dead to this world, and dead to sIn, that we may live in Christ, walk in His Word, and put on His righteousness, for He is our life. We are not perfect, entire, or complete yet, but we are to grow into Him through His Word. We have all of Christ we need to be conformed to the image of His dear Son, transformed by the renewing of our minds, resting in Him who has saved us from sIn and from ourselves. Our trust in Him to complete the work in us that He began when we were justified by faith empowers and encourages us to do His will and work in this world.

We are equipped with His power, and His provision to minister to those around us, as GOD leads us in our ministry, to meet the needs of those who are hurting and in need. We are empowered with His Spirit to love one another, and those without, and to hear His voice from His Word and grow thereby from its precepts and Doctrine. We are emboldened by what He has done for us to take His Gospel and His Word to this lost and dying world, that those who hear the Good News of Jesus Christ, repenting of their sIn against our Holy GOD and turning to Him for Salvation, and trusting in Him and Him alone for reconciliation with the Father might have life in Him, through Him, by  Him and in His Name.

For GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance and the knowledge of the Truth. Jesus loves you and wants to establish a covenant relationship with you that is real and personal. Surrender to Him on His terms and He will give you a brand new life of discipleship and fellowship with Him that is abundant and everlasting. GOD calls you to trust Him and what He has already done for you to pay your sIn debt. He has provided the only way of reconciliation with GOD with forgiveness and Salvation through Jesus Christ, the Son of GOD who is GOD the Son, to give you a new life in Christ. Turn away from yourself and your sIn and turn to Him alone for eternal Life, now and always.

In Christ,
Jefferson Sweet
