Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the Law. But thanks be to GOD, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. (1Co 15:51-58)
When the Lord returns for His own, we shall be raised up and given new glorified bodies that live eternally with Christ. These dying and corrupted tabernacles will be cast aside and we will be made like Him. Because of our faith in His finished and perfect work on the Cross of Calvary and the grace of GOD we who are in Christ have the victory He has already won over sIn, death and the grave. The death of this body is just a threshold into the new life we already possess through the Spirit of GOD.
Death is not something to fear for the believer who is secure in Christ, for He has conquered the death and corruption that comes to our natural bodies, and paid the penalty for our sIn. Our security and Salvation in Jesus Christ is not a license to sIn, but liberty to live in Him and to do His will and work while we are here. For those who do not have peace with GOD and the blessed assurance of Eternal life through repentance and a covenant relationship with Jesus need to hear His message of hope, love, and mercy that only comes from GOD.
Until He resurrects us to be with Him, He has work for us to do. We are His ambassadors and ministers of reconciliation. Regardless of the career, workplace, community or mission you have, He commands us to minister to those around us who are hurting and in need, that they may see Jesus in us, the hope of Glory. We are counseled through His Word to grow, to disciple one another, and to love one another as His disciples. We are commissioned by our Lord to take the Gospel everywhere we go, and as we go, make disciples, teaching all nations to observe all that our Lord teaches us, and to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ that they may hear and believe, and in believing have life in His Name.
For GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance and the knowledge of the Truth. Jesus loves you and wants to establish a covenant relationship with you that is real and personal. Surrender to Him on His terms and He will give you a brand new life of discipleship and fellowship with Him that is abundant and everlasting. GOD calls you to trust Him and what He has already done for you to pay your sIn debt. He has provided the only way of reconciliation with GOD with forgiveness and Salvation through Jesus Christ, the Son of GOD who is GOD the Son, to give you a new life in Christ. Turn away from yourself and your sIn and turn to Him alone for eternal Life, now and always.
