But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of GOD; Who will render to every man according to his deeds: To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life: But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath, Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile; But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile: (Rom 2:5-10)
Those who do not reflect this truth in their lifestyle, or their continuous behavior, not just an occasional sIn, but unrepentant and continual actions that do not reflect the character, righteousness, and glory of GOD, demonstrate by their lives that they are not His, but are as the heathen.
The other warning GOD gives here, are those who try to live by the Law, as though the Law could save them, whether claiming Christ or not, are not born again. The Law is our schoolmaster to show us our need of Jesus Christ and His finished and perfect work on the Cross of Calvary, that by faith in Him we could be forgiven and redeemed. If keeping the Law could save us, and we could keep the whole Law, Christ would not have had to die in our place. But He came that we might have life, and have it more abundantly, since we could not, and cannot do it ourselves.
GOD's people, who are truly born again and trusting in Him and Him alone, are to glorify GOD in our bodies. We are to present ourselves as a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto GOD, which is our reasonable service. We are to submit ourselves to Him, that He may live in us, and through us, to accomplish His work in us, and in this world. His great Salvation is not a license to sIn, but Liberty to live as He would have us live, not tied to ordinances and decrees of GOD or man, but to love GOD supremely and love our neighbour as ourselves, as we were meant to do.
That love is reflected in our service to GOD and to one another. Because of our love for GOD and what He has done for us, we minster to those that are hurting and in need. Because of His love for us, we grow in His Word, and make disciples as we go, though strangers in this world. Because He loves all, and does not take pleasure in the death of the wicked, He compels us to share the Gospel with those who are still lost and dead in their trespasses and sins, that they might repent and believe. As we go, we proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ to all who will hear and believe, that in believing they might have life in His Name.
For GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance and the knowledge of the Truth. Jesus loves you and wants to establish a covenant relationship with you that is real and personal. Surrender to Him on His terms and He will give you a brand new life of discipleship and fellowship with Him that is abundant and everlasting. GOD calls you to trust Him and what He has already done for you to pay your sIn debt. He has provided the only way of reconciliation with GOD with forgiveness and Salvation through Jesus Christ, the Son of GOD who is GOD the Son, to give you a new life in Christ. Turn away from yourself and your sIn and turn to Him alone for eternal Life, now and always.
In Christ,
