And GOD said to Jonah, Doest thou well to be angry for the gourd? And he said, I do well to be angry, even unto death. Then said the LORD, Thou hast had pity on the gourd, for the which thou hast not laboured, neither madest it grow; which came up in a night, and perished in a night: And should not I spare Nineveh, that great city, wherein are more than sixscore thousand persons that cannot discern between their right hand and their left hand; and also much cattle? (Jonah 4:9-11)
Despite his ride in a fish, and GOD having mercy on him as well as those in Nineveh that repented; Jonah is still angry and allowing his national and personal pride to control him. He gets angry at GOD when a plant dies, and yet can't see the mercy that GOD extended to him and the Ninevites. He was completely oblivious to the fact that there were still people in Nineveh that sought GOD, and children and cattle that had nothing to do with the sIn of their nation. That would change many years later when their sIn against GOD, and their attacks on Israel had gotten so much worse; and GOD issued the final decree against them. GOD's mercy and grace toward those that sIn only lasts so long. And while He is not willing that any should perish, and takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked, He cannot let sIn go unpunished nor allow it in His presence. As a righteous and Holy GOD, He is also fair and just, and unless we repent we shall all likewise perish. Only those that surrender to GOD on His terms can be saved and forgiven, that they might receive eternal life in Christ.

Those that receive this free gift by faith will be delivered, just as these Ninevites were, by GODs mercy and grace. Those that reject Him, are condemned already and in the judgment will face Jesus Christ; not as saviour, but as Judge.
I pray that you will recognize that you cannot live without GOD, and dying without Him is Hell, that you might be saved and given the new birth that GOD says all must receive.
