Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? the Words that I speak unto you I speak not of Myself: but the Father that dwelleth in Me, He doeth the works. Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me: or else believe Me for the very works' sake. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on Me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto My Father. And whatsoever ye shall ask in My Name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in My Name, I will do it. (Joh 14:10-14)
Our Lord has called us to do His will and accomplish His work while we are here. When we speak or do in His Name, that is by His authority and in His will, He will accomplish in us that which glorifies the Father, just as He did when He was here. His works confirmed His deity and relationship with the Father, and we in Him through the Spirit of GOD will do greater works, because He is not physically here to do them. The Spirit accomplishes in us that which we allow Him to do when we submit, surrender, and obey, not as puppets but as humble, willing servants, just as Jesus was when He walked this earth, even as He went willingly and humbly in obedience to His death on the Cross in our place and for our sIn.
We should be careful when speaking or doing in His Name, not just the phrase, but actually declaring or doing the will of GOD and not our own desires and agendas. We are to be about our Father's business, reaching the lost, ministering to those in need, and discipling one another in love, and doing so as He directs and for His glory. Setting our own agenda, or getting ahead of GOD only leads to our own glory, which is temporary or to disaster and loss. We are to seek GOD and His authority, and then proceed as He leads and guides that all will know the the LORD is GOD and that there is none other, and that those who do not know Him may repent of their sins and believe in His finished and perfect work on the Cross of Calvary for forgiveness and Salvation.
We are His ambassadors and are to represent Him and His Kingdom in all things. We are called to minister to those who are hurting and in need, as He ministered and gave His life as a ransom for many. We are commanded to disciple one another and to love one another, as Christ loved us, that all may know we are His disciples. We are commissioned as His witnesses, to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ through faith and repentance, that those who believe the Gospel from GOD's Word might have life in His Name.
For GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance and the knowledge of the Truth. Jesus loves you and wants to establish a covenant relationship with you that is real and personal. Surrender to Him on His terms and He will give you a brand new life of discipleship and fellowship with Him that is abundant and everlasting. GOD calls you to trust Him and what He has already done for you to pay your sIn debt. He has provided the only way of reconciliation with GOD with forgiveness and Salvation through Jesus Christ, the Son of GOD who is GOD the Son, to give you a new life in Christ. Turn away from yourself and your sIn and turn to Him alone for eternal Life, now and always.
