But GOD forbid that I should glory, save in the Cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world. (Gal 6:14)
As we conclude our journey through Paul's missionary letters to the churches, we see his conclusion of his purpose and goal, to preach Christ and Him crucified. The Gospel which Paul preached, how that Christ shed His blood for our sIns, that He was buried three days, and that He rose again by the power of GOD according to the Scriptures, is the same Gospel we, as GOD's church must preach until we are no longer here. It is not the Gospel of the Law which was nailed to the Cross. It is not the Gospel of the Kingdom which was rejected by the Jews and has been placed on hold until after the Church is removed. It is the Gospel, or Good News, of repentance and faith in Christ and His finished and perfect work on the Cross of Calvary, for those who believe.
Just as Paul continually and unashamedly preached Christ, with repentance and faith, so should we. We don't need prophecy, tongues, or direct knowledge from GOD, for His Word is complete and the canon of Scripture is closed. We do need evangelists and pastor teachers, as well as every believer, to go forth and proclaim the Gospel from GOD's Word to every nation, tongue, tribe, and people, so that all may hear and receive Him by faith. We do need all to disciple and be discipled in the Word of GOD, growing in faith, for we walk by faith and not by sight, not seeking signs and wonders, but believing our Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of GOD who is GOD the Son. We do need to love every one, as we minister to the hurting and in need, as His ambassadors and ministers of reconciliation bringing the lost into relationship with GOD through Jesus Christ and the indwelling Holy Spirit. As we go, all of GOD's people are to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ so that those who believe may be born again and have life in His Name.
For GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance and the knowledge of the Truth. Jesus loves you and wants to establish a covenant relationship with you that is real and personal. Surrender to Him on His terms and He will give you a brand new life of discipleship and fellowship with Him that is abundant and everlasting. GOD calls you to trust Him and what He has already done for you to pay your sIn debt. He has provided the only way of reconciliation with GOD with forgiveness and Salvation through Jesus Christ, the Son of GOD who is GOD the Son, to give you a new life in Christ. Turn away from yourself and your sIn and turn to Him alone for eternal Life, now and always.
