Now when Jacob saw that there was corn in Egypt, Jacob said unto his sons, Why do ye look one upon another? And he said, Behold, I have heard that there is corn in Egypt: get you down thither, and buy for us from thence; that we may live, and not die. And Joseph's ten brethren went down to buy corn in Egypt. But Benjamin, Joseph's brother, Jacob sent not with his brethren; for he said, Lest peradventure mischief befall him.
And Joseph was the governor over the land, and he it was that sold to all the people of the land: and Joseph's brethren came, and bowed down themselves before him with their faces to the earth. And Joseph saw his brethren, and he knew them, but made himself strange unto them, and spake roughly unto them; and he said unto them, Whence come ye? And they said, From the land of Canaan to buy food. And Joseph knew his brethren, but they knew not him.
(Gen 42:1-4, 6-8)
Nothing surprises GOD, He will never be caught unaware about us, or the events we are involved in. We must trust that He knows the end from the beginning, and even when we can't understand what is happening, if we are truly one of His, He holds us firmly in His hand and will not leave us or forsake us.
We have a message of hope to spread to the nations. We must start right in our communities, with our friends and neighbors. We must tell them of the Savior, Jesus Christ and the Salvation that He offers through faith in His finished and perfect work on the Cross of Calvary. We must use every occasion to glorify and celebrate what GOD is doing, and to testify of Him. We must live our lives so that others see Him in us, the hope of Glory, and want what we have. We are commanded to minister to those who are hurting, as GOD gives the increase. We are committed to disciple one another in the Word and in love. We are commissioned to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ to all, and as we go, tell all who will hear of His grace and forgiveness that they might believe in Him, and believing have life in His Name.
For GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance and the knowledge of the Truth. Jesus loves you and wants to establish a covenant relationship with you that is real and personal. Surrender to Him on His terms and He will give you a brand new life of discipleship and fellowship with Him that is abundant and everlasting. You must turn away from your sIn and unrighteousness and trust what He has already done for you to pay your sIn debt. Just as He provided for Israel and his family through Joseph, He has provided the only way of reconciliation with GOD with forgiveness and Salvation through Jesus Christ, the Son of GOD who is GOD the Son, and is our Life. Turn away from yourself and your sIn and turn to Him alone for eternal Life.
In Christ,
