No other Name.

And I will give her her vineyards from thence, and the valley of Achor for a door of hope: and she shall sing there, as in the days of her youth, and as in the day when she came up out of the land of Egypt. And it shall be at that day, saith the LORD, that thou shalt call me Ishi; and shalt call me no more Baali. For I will take away the names of Baalim out of her mouth, and they shall no more be remembered by their name. (Hosea 2:15-17)

After a long diatribe in which the prophet Hosea starts berating his wife for her behavior he soon changes over to Israel.  GOD through Hosea chastises Israel for its rebellion and infidelity to her GOD, using the imagery of a straying wife.  Over and over the people of Israel had disobeyed GOD and worshiped idols.  But one day, after GOD had thoroughly purged the nation, they would return to Him and bow to Baal no more.  This was partially fulfilled when the Jews were back in the land after the captivity.  Idols and false gods of wood and stone were no more, but idols of the heart still existed.  When GOD is done, these will also be purged.

GOD wants to clean us up as well.  We have been rebellious and gone our own way.  He has provided the only way back to Him through His Son, Jesus Christ.  GOD loves us so much that He willingly became a man, and put to death the flesh that we might live with Him in righteousness and fellowship.  Repent and return to Him today.

If you are in a right relationship with GOD through Jesus Christ, tell others that they might be saved.  If not, GOD invites you back to Himself that you might be restored to Him.
