Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by Him doth this man stand here before you whole. This is the Stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the Head of the corner. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other Name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus. (Act 4:10-13)
Peter’s proclamation once again divided those who began to understand and believe in Jesus Christ, the Messiah of God, and those who did not. The authorities who did not or would not because of their position in the Sanhedrin rejected Him on political or personal grounds, but reject Him they did, and despite all their religion, they would remain lost and without Christ. Those Jews who believed and repented received Jesus Christ by faith in Him and His finished and perfect work on the Cross of Calvary and were saved. The lines were drawn and would lead to persecution of “The Way” as Christianity was known then, and the scattering of those who believed.
We must understand that there is no other way to the Father but by Jesus Christ. We must tell all who will hear of Jesus Christ, the Son of God who is God the Son, and His propitiation for the sins of the world that they might receive Him and be saved. We must be united in the Spirit, not ignorant of the Scriptures or unlearned about the things of God, but that the world may see and understand that we have been with Jesus. They may reject our message, they may reject us as His servants, but they may even reject Jesus as the Sanhedrin did, but they must see and understand the power and purpose of the Church through the Gospel unto Salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.
While the church is here, God calls His people to holiness and obedience to Him that we might minister to those around us who are hurting and in need as He provides. We serve others, equipped with the Word of reconciliation and righteousness, rightly divided and fitly spoken, that they may see Christ in us, the hope of Glory. Our GOD has commanded us to love one another with an unfeigned love, even as He first loved us, and to disciple one another in the Word of GOD so that we may all grow in grace and in the Knowledge of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Our Lord has commissioned those who are His with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, to go where He sends us in the power of the Holy Spirit. As we go, we are to proclaim the Good News of forgiveness through repentance and reconciliation with the Father through faith in His Son, that those who believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Messiah of GOD might have life in His Name.
GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance and the knowledge of the Truth. Jesus loves you and wants to establish a covenant relationship with you that is real and personal. Surrender to Him on His terms and He will give you a brand new life of discipleship and fellowship with Him that is abundant and everlasting. GOD calls you to faith in Christ and His finished and perfect work on the Cross of Calvary to pay your sIn debt. He has provided the only way of reconciliation with GOD, forgiveness from GOD, and Salvation through Jesus Christ, the Son of GOD who is GOD the Son, to give you a new life in Christ. Turn away from yourself and your sIn and turn to Him alone for eternal Life, now and always.
In Christ,
