Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same GOD which worketh all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. For to one is given by the Spirit the Word of wisdom; to another the Word of knowledge by the same Spirit; To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as He will. (1Co 12:4-11)
The Holy Spirit gives out gifts to whom He pleases and as He wills to accomplish the work of the ministry and our edification. They are not something that we learn, for then it wouldn't be the gifts of the Spirit, but works of the flesh. They do not come and go as we please, or desire, but as He directs us in Evangelism, Missions, and Discipleship. It is GOD that worketh in us to accomplish His will and to do in us His work to conform us to the image of His dear Son as we do His work of reaching those who are not yet redeemed and delivered from their sIn by faith in the finished and perfect work of Christ on the Cross of Calvary.
No matter what gifts we have been given by GOD we are to use them for His glory, not our own. We are to allow the manifestation of the Spirit of GOD to produce fruit in us and Salvation by grace through faith in others. We are to be obedient to His command to love one another, not accepting their sIn, but working as ministers of reconciliation, until every one has matured and is complete and GOD is done with us and brings us Home to be with Him.
Until that day, GOD's Church is to be about the business of ministering to those around us who are hurting and in need as His ambassadors. We are to disciple one another in the Word that we may grow thereby. We are to take the Gospel to this lost and dying world, and as we go, make disciples that those who hear and believe the Good News of Jesus Christ might have life in His Name.
For GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance and the knowledge of the Truth. Jesus loves you and wants to establish a covenant relationship with you that is real and personal. Surrender to Him on His terms and He will give you a brand new life of discipleship and fellowship with Him that is abundant and everlasting. GOD calls you to trust Him and what He has already done for you to pay your sIn debt. He has provided the only way of reconciliation with GOD with forgiveness and Salvation through Jesus Christ, the Son of GOD who is GOD the Son, to give you a new life in Christ. Turn away from yourself and your sIn and turn to Him alone for eternal Life, now and always.
