Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the Gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the scriptures: (1 Corinthians 15:1-4)
I have Good News. Christ died for us, that we might live; live in Him and He in us, for He is alive forevermore. Christ died for us, since we cannot pay the penalty we all deserve and were already judged guilty before GOD. Christ died for us, because sIn demanded death and GOD's justice demanded a perfect sacrifice for sIn.
But, GOD who loves us and wants what is best for us, extended His mercy and paid the penalty for us. and out of His grace, He restores those that come to Him on His terms to a right relationship with Him.
For those of us who have received this free gift of grace, we celebrate and rejoice. The whole purpose of the Church is to share this Good News with all who will listen. Along the way, we who are in Christ are to become more and more like Him. Everything else is secondary to the Kingdom and is of little worth in light of Eternity.
Are you in Christ? Are you fulfilling His great Commission? Are you obedient to His commands.
If not, why not? He is the Lord, the Commander of the Lord's Army (a seven star general) and deserves our love and obedience.
It may be that you have never come to a saving relationship with Jesus Christ by Faith. GOD is not willing that any should perish and He wants you to repent and be saved today.
He is calling all who will listen to obey His Word and do His Will.
