My soul fainteth for Thy salvation: but I hope in Thy Word. Mine eyes fail for Thy Word, saying, When wilt thou comfort me? For I am become like a bottle in the smoke; yet do I not forget Thy statutes. How many are the days of Thy servant? when wilt Thou execute judgment on them that persecute me? The proud have digged pits for me, which are not after Thy Law. All Thy Commandments are faithful: they persecute me wrongfully; help Thou me. They had almost consumed me upon earth; but I forsook not Thy precepts. Quicken me after Thy lovingkindness; so shall I keep the Testimony of Thy mouth. (Psalms 119:81-88)
His Word is Truth. No matter who penned it on paper, or parchment, or stone, every Word comes from our GOD and is written (in context) to us so we will hear and obey, for us as an example of good and bad character, and because we need a saviour and need to know Jesus Christ. It speaks of Him, in every historical account He is there, in every judgment He is the Judge, in every command He is the Commander, in every Law He is the Lawgiver. We must share Him with everyone that GOD puts in our path, even if they won't hear it.
Those that 'explain' the Bible, or ignore it, or relegate it to just another 'book', do so at their own peril. It is a Divine book for it comes from GOD. It is a Spiritual book for it is living and gives life. Only a Divinely inspired Word can do that, and that is why we must look to it for our orders, our life, and to remind us of what not only has GOD done, but what He is doing, and will do.
But, since it is a Spiritual Word, those that don't possess the Spirit of GOD to guide them into all truth, cannot understand it apart from Him. Those that have never been born again, cannot hear any message from GOD through His Word other than their need of Him.
But, GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance and the knowledge of the Truth. Jesus loves you and wants to establish a covenant relationship with you that is real and personal. Surrender to Him on His terms and be born again, and He will give you a brand new life of discipleship and fellowship with you that is abundant and everlasting. Our days on this earth are short and will not last forever, but if you pass from this life without a secure relationship with GOD through faith in Jesus Christ and His finished and perfect work on the Cross of Calvary, you will be lost for all eternity, let GOD forgive you and give you His Salvation today.
In Christ,
