For the children of Israel shall abide many days without a king, and without a prince, and without a sacrifice, and without an image, and without an ephod, and without teraphim: Afterward shall the children of Israel return, and seek the LORD their GOD, and David their king; and shall fear the LORD and His goodness in the latter days. (Hosea 3:4-5)
As GOD continues His prophecy toward Israel and Judah, He foretells of a time when they would be without political or religious leadership; a time which would be for many 'days.' This prophecy is still unfolding, as the Jews as a people and nation, do not yet have a temple, or a king. But in a day still to come, they shall indeed; after returning to the Lord, have David as king; and shall worship Jesus Christ in His Millennial Kingdom.
We have seen GODs judgment on His people, and His care in returning them to the land and to Himself. We must understand that GOD is not done with Israel. One day, He will finish with the Church, and take His Bride Home, and return His attention once again to the friends of the Bridegroom. He will purge this world of those that despise and reject Him, and will gather His own unto Himself. That day is coming as sure as the destruction came upon Israel because of their rebellion against a righteous and Holy GOD.
We have rebelled, and without Jesus Christ are guilty of sIn, pride and willful disobedience to His commands. We must repent and receive the righteousness that is in Him and Him alone because of His finished work on the Cross of Calvary. I pray that you will do that and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, today.
If you are already born-again, I pray that you will be obedient to Him and tell others of His great love for sinners.
