Thou hast dealt well with Thy servant, O LORD, according unto Thy Word. Teach me good judgment and knowledge: for I have believed Thy Commandments. Before I was afflicted I went astray: but now have I kept Thy Word. Thou art good, and doest good; teach me Thy Statutes. The proud have forged a lie against me: but I will keep Thy Precepts with my whole heart. Their heart is as fat as grease; but I delight in Thy Law. It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn Thy Statutes. The Law of Thy mouth is better unto me than thousands of gold and silver. (Psalms 119:65-72)
His Word tells us of Salvation through faith in His finished and perfect work on the Cross of Calvary. His Word tells us that we are sanctified (made holy) through His Word, guided to it by His Spirit. His Word tells us of that glorious day when He will take His own to Himself, and we will be with Him. His Word commands us to be about our Father's business and tell everyone of the Good News of Jesus Christ.
Because, His Word also warns of Judgment when He will cast out those that never received Him. It warns of the destruction of the ungodly and unrighteous. It warns of the passing away of all things.
But, GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance and the knowledge of the Truth. Jesus loves you and wants to establish a covenant relationship with you that is real and personal. Surrender to Him on His terms and be born again by faith in Him, and He will give you a brand new life of discipleship and fellowship with Him that is abundant and everlasting. No matter what your life is like, no matter what your affliction, no matter what you have done, Jesus stands ready to forgive and offers His Salvation if you will believe His Word and trust Him who died in your place and lives now forevermore.
In Christ,
