Thus did Moses: according to all that the LORD commanded him, so did he. And it came to pass in the first month in the second year, on the first day of the month, that the tabernacle was reared up. And Moses reared up the tabernacle, and fastened his sockets, and set up the boards thereof, and put in the bars thereof, and reared up his pillars. And he spread abroad the tent over the tabernacle, and put the covering of the tent above upon it; as the LORD commanded Moses.
And he reared up the court round about the tabernacle and the altar, and set up the hanging of the court gate. So Moses finished the work. Then a cloud covered the tent of the congregation, and the Glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle. And Moses was not able to enter into the tent of the congregation, because the cloud abode thereon, and the Glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle. And when the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle, the children of Israel went onward in all their journeys: But if the cloud were not taken up, then they journeyed not till the day that it was taken up. For the cloud of the LORD was upon the tabernacle by day, and fire was on it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel, throughout all their journeys. (Exo 40:16-19, 33-38)
As we come to the end of the book of Exodus, we see that when the construction of the Tabernacle was finished, GOD instructed Moses on the setting up of the place of Worship. When the Tabernacle was set up, GOD met His people there, and they worshipped. The children of Israel stayed encamped as long as GOD was over the tent, and they moved when GOD went up and before them on their journey. The Lord GOD who had delivered His people from the bondage of slavery in Egypt, and brought through to Himself, has now established their worship, first on the mount of GOD, and know in the tent of meeting.
We too, meet GOD where He has established. First of all, within through the indwelling Spirit, that came when the Church was established. Second, when GOD's people meet together to worship Him in Spirit and in Truth. We can commune and worship GOD where we are, because of our relationship with Him by faith in His finished and perfect work on the Cross of Calvary. We fellowship with one another and have love one to another because of who GOD is and what He has done for us.
He meets us where we are, to guide and direct as we minister to others and share His love to those in need. He meets us when we gather together to encourage and exhort one another in love and disciple one another in His Word. He meets us in our battles as we prepare to go and tell others about Him and the Good News. As we go, He goes with us to protect us and to provide for our needs. He goes before us to prepare the hearts of those we share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with so that they will hear and believe, and in believing have life in His Name.
For GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance and the knowledge of the Truth. Jesus loves you and wants to establish a covenant relationship with you that is real and personal. Surrender to Him on His terms and He will give you a brand new life of discipleship and fellowship with Him that is abundant and everlasting. GOD calls you to trust Him and what He has already done for you to pay your sIn debt. He has provided the only way of reconciliation with GOD with forgiveness and Salvation through Jesus Christ, the Son of GOD who is GOD the Son, to give you a new life in Christ. Turn away from yourself and your sIn and turn to Him alone for eternal Life, now and always.
In Christ,
