an Hebrew, one of his brethren. And he looked this way and that way, and when he saw that there was no man, he slew the Egyptian, and hid him in the sand. And when he went out the second day, behold, two men of the Hebrews strove together: and he said to him that did the wrong, Wherefore smitest thou thy fellow? And he said, Who made thee a prince and a judge over us? intendest thou to kill me, as thou killedst the Egyptian? And Moses feared, and said, Surely this thing is known. Now when Pharaoh heard this thing, he sought to slay Moses. But Moses fled from the face of Pharaoh, and dwelt in the land of Midian: and he sat down by a well. And it came to pass in those days, when Moses was grown, that he went out unto his brethren, and looked on their burdens: and he spied an Egyptian smiting
And it came to pass in process of time, that the king of Egypt died: and the children of Israel sighed by reason of the bondage, and they cried, and their cry came up unto GOD by reason of the bondage. And GOD heard their groaning, and GOD remembered His covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob. And GOD looked upon the children of Israel, and GOD had respect unto them. (Exo 2:11-15, 23-25)
A series of arguments, and Moses standing up for what is right, lead to Moses fleeing from Egypt and living for a time in Midian. Moses was the deliverer that GOD intended, but Moses initial attempts in his own time and flesh were rejected by the Hebrews because it was not yet the right time. Moses was right to protect his kinsman, yet not wanted when he stepped in between two Israelites, which exposed his earlier deed. His actions eventually got around to Pharaoh, as such actions must, and Moses fled Egypt for his life. But eventually that king died, and that set up things for GOD to call Moses from his shepherding and back to Egypt.
GOD's timing is always right and His ways are true. Whether it is us getting ahead of GOD, or trying to do things our own way and in our own power, whatever we are doing on our own will not work the way we want it to, or it won't accomplish our goals. When we align ourselves with GOD, and work in His power and might, His Will will be done.
Above all things, His will for His people is to share His message of love and hope to this lost and dying world that desperately needs it. We must tell those around us who have no hope of eternal life of the finished and perfect work of Jesus Christ on the Cross of Calvary in their place to pay for their sIn. We are commanded to minister to the hurting so that they see Jesus in us, we are called to disciple one another in love and in His Word, and we are commissioned to proclaim His Good News of Salvation so that everyone who hears the Gospel of Jesus Christ may believe, and believing have life in His Name.
For GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance and the knowledge of the Truth. Jesus loves you and wants to establish a covenant relationship with you that is real and personal. Surrender to Him on His terms and He will give you a brand new life of discipleship and fellowship with Him that is abundant and everlasting. Now is the right time and GOD calls you to trust what He has already done for you to pay your sIn debt. He has provided the only way of reconciliation with GOD with forgiveness and Salvation through Jesus Christ, the Son of GOD who is GOD the Son, to give you a new heart in Christ. Turn away from yourself and your sIn and turn to Him alone for eternal Life, now and always.
In Christ,
