The Words of the LORD are pure Words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep Them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve Them from this generation for ever. (Psa 12:6-7)
The Law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the Testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. The Statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the Commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes. The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the Judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether. More to be desired are They than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. Moreover by Them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of Them there is great reward. (Psa 19:7-11)
Before we take a look at the Gospel of John, as a break between the missionary letters and the prison letters of Paul, I want to discuss the reason for this blog. The Scriptures, given by inspiration of GOD, and profitable for Doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, are the manual for Life. Studied to know Christ, and rightly divided as GOD has given them to us, we learn of GOD and know more of Him and His ways, which are above our ways, and His thoughts which are above our thoughts. They are without error, cannot fail, and He has preserved and protected every Word which does not go out void, but will accomplish that which He pleases.
Every word, from In the beginning to the last Amen, is pure, and Holy, and perfect, settled in Heaven and preserved on earth. We are to hear its voice, not just with out ears, but with our soul and spirit. We are to read GOD's message to us in every page and understand it in context of who, what, where, when , why , and how. We are to study it, as His disciples, to grow in faith, grace, and the knowledge of Jesus Christ, its Author and Subject. We are to hide its Words in our heart, that we might not sIn against GOD, and delight in its statutes, and not forget His Word. We are to meditate in it, day and night, pondering its testimony and covenants in our hearts, and renewing our minds through its teachings. We are to apply the instructions, knowing what He has said, and with proper interpretation of the text, obeying GOD in faith.
Only those who know Jesus Christ can properly hear from GOD from its pages, for it is a spiritual book, which the lost, natural, man cannot understand. Only those who have trusted in His finished and perfect work on the Cross of Calvary, and have repented of their sIn, and been born again, can know the voice of our Lord Jesus Christ. We who are in Christ, while we minister to those around us who are hurting and in need, are to take the Gospel from the pages of the incorruptible Word of GOD, and proclaim the Good News of reconciliation with GOD through repentance and faith with those who do not know Him, that they might have the eternal and abundant life He has already purchased and have it in His Name.
For GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance and the knowledge of the Truth. Jesus loves you and wants to establish a covenant relationship with you that is real and personal. Surrender to Him on His terms and He will give you a brand new life of discipleship and fellowship with Him that is abundant and everlasting. GOD calls you to trust Him and what He has already done for you to pay your sIn debt. He has provided the only way of reconciliation with GOD with forgiveness and Salvation through Jesus Christ, the Son of GOD who is GOD the Son, to give you a new life in Christ. Turn away from yourself and your sIn and turn to Him alone for eternal Life, now and always.
