Take heed lest any man deceive you

And Jesus answering them began to say, Take heed lest any man deceive you: For many shall come in My Name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And when ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, be ye not troubled: for such things must needs be; but the end shall not be yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows. But take heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to councils; and in the synagogues ye shall be beaten: and ye shall be brought before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them. And the Gospel must first be published among all nations. (Mar 13:5-10)
There are many who will come in the Name of the Lord and while affirming Jesus as the Messiah of GOD wrest the Scriptures to their own destruction and mislead many. They don't preach our Gospel, for they have another gospel which will not save them, for it is all about them and promises safety and security in this life, not eternal life. They deny many things that Jesus said and did, even while affirming the person of Jesus, but usually not His deity. They serve themselves, not our Lord, even when claiming His Name, and their destruction is coming.  We must turn to the Scriptures and see if those things we hear are true, with our Biblical glasses on, and listening to the voice of our Lord, to know His Words and obey Him.

All will be tried and tested, only those who are truly in Christ will endure. The Lord knows those who are His and will not lose any who are secure in His hand. Many trials may come, and His people will be persecuted for our faith, but the Lord is in control. The Father has resurrected all of us who have repented of our sins and placed our faith in Him and His finished and perfect work on the Cross of Calvary and made us to sit in heavenly places. We who have received Him by faith, knowing that we cannot save ourselves, have been made a new creatures in Christ and we hear His voice and follow Him who is our Saviour and King. When He returns we will know our Masters voice and go to be with Him.

Until that day, He has work for us to do. We can't sit back and wait for Him to come back and get us, for we have been called to serve, commanded to love, and commissioned to evangelize the lost, until He is done with us. We are to minister to those around us who are hurting and in need as GOD provides, with the Word of righteousness and reconciliation, rightly divided and fitly spoken, and as His ambassadors, representing His Kingdom. We are to love one another as He loved us and disciple one another in the Word of GOD that we may grow in grace and in the knowledge of Him who is our Lord, Jesus Christ. We are to take the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit and prepared with the whole armour of GOD, proclaim as we go, the Good News of forgiveness through repentance and reconciliation with the Father through faith in His Son, that those who believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Messiah of GOD might have life in His Name.

For GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance and the knowledge of the Truth. Jesus loves you and wants to establish a covenant relationship with you that is real and personal. Surrender to Him on His terms and He will give you a brand new life of discipleship and fellowship with Him that is abundant and everlasting. GOD calls you to trust Him and what He has already done for you to pay your sIn debt. He has provided the only way of reconciliation with GOD, forgiveness from GOD, and Salvation through Jesus Christ, the Son of GOD who is GOD the Son, to give you a new life in Christ. Turn away from yourself and your sIn and turn to Him alone for eternal Life, now and always.

All flesh shall perish together

Therefore hearken unto me, ye men of understanding: far be it from GOD, that He should do wickedness; and from the Almighty, that He should commit iniquity. For the work of a man shall He render unto him, and cause every man to find according to his ways. Yea, surely GOD will not do wickedly, neither will the Almighty pervert judgment.
For His eyes are upon the ways of man, and He seeth all his goings. There is no darkness, nor shadow of death, where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves. For He will not lay upon man more than right; that he should enter into judgment with GOD. (Job 34:10-12, 21-23)
Elihu continues to speak against those who pervert the nature and character of GOD without wisdom or knowledge of His Sovereignty and Justice. GOD is not a man that He should do wickedly, nor is His justice capricious or petty. GOD always does right. We may not know His plans, or understand His purposes, or even agree with what He allows to happen in this sinful and broken world, but His ways are perfect and His thoughts are righteous. They are above our ways and our thoughts for ours are of the flesh, of the world, and temporary. He is eternal, and sees the beginning and the ending, and is working all things to bring lost people to Himself and His own closer to Him and conformed to the image of His dear Son.

Tragedy and calamity may come, but we ought to trust GOD even in the loss of that which is dear to us. Those who are in Christ are present with Him when we leave this life, and material things in this world are temporary. All must go the way of all the earth, but only those who are secure in Christ go to be with Him. GOD wants all to come to Him and find safety and the new life in Him which He has already paid for through His finished and perfect work on the Cross of Calvary. He wants every person to be born again through repentance and faith in Him, no to live as they please, for that is sin, but to serve the living GOD. We cannot trust ourselves, our religious activity, nor any other means besides faith in Jesus Christ through His Spirit and His Word to save us and provide eternal life.

His is the only Name under heaven whereby we are saved, and those who are His are to take His message of hope in this life and the next by faith, peace with GOD through repentance, and the love of the Father to this lost and dying world. His people are to be on mission for Him, serving our Lord as we serve those around us who are hurting and in need, with the Word of reconciliation and righteousness, rightly divided and fitly spoken, that they may know Him and see Christ in us, the hope of Glory. His children are to love one another as members of His family, and disciple one another in His Word that we may grow thereby into the full measure of Him who first loved us. His saints, servants and witnesses of GOD, are to take the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit as we go, and proclaim to every one every where the Good News of forgiveness through repentance and reconciliation with the Father through faith in His Son, that those who believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Messiah of GOD, might have life in His Name.

For GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance and the knowledge of the Truth. Jesus loves you and wants to establish a covenant relationship with you that is real and personal. In the days when GOD preserved me

I was a father to the poor: and the cause which I knew not I searched out. And I brake the jaws of the wicked, and plucked the spoil out of his teeth. Then I said, I shall die in my nest, and I shall multiply my days as the sand. My root was spread out by the waters, and the dew lay all night upon my branch. My glory was fresh in me, and my bow was renewed in my hand. (Job 29:16-20)
Now Job goes back to his lament of how things used to be. Job ought to realize that no matter how good he was before, and no matter how things were before, the "new normal" is different than before. Job can still be all those things, or become them again, when this trial, which he has no understanding of, is over. GOD wants us to be all the things Job is claiming, and Job was, this was not idle boasting, that we might glorify Him. Job was righteous, not because of all these works, but because of his faith in GOD, which led to his service to others and the good works of GOD through him on the behalf of others. His lament goes astray in thinking sometimes, but GOD is gracious and faithful through it all.

Those who are faithful in service to GOD serve others, not to be lauded or glorified for what we do, but for what GOD is doing through us. We serve Him, not to gain favor or His Salvation, which is given by grace,  and serve through Him to minister to others around us both to meet their needs as GOD provides and to take the Gospel to our communities, for that is the ultimate need of all mankind. We minister in this world, but not of it, that others might be receptive to the Word of GOD and be born again through repentance of their sin and faith in Jesus Christ and His finished and perfect work on the Cross of Calvary who paid for ours sins. We don't serve because we are trying to earn eternal life, or keep that which GOD has so graciously given, but because of we are new creatures in Christ, and He lives within, through His indwelling Spirit, to guide us to accomplish His will and do His work in this lost and dying world.

Living for Jesus does not mean we can sin all we want, or live as we please, but it does mean we are at liberty to do that which He commands, and free from our old nature, we glorify GOD through our works and His work in us until He is done with us and calls us Home to be with Him. Until that day, we serve as His ambassadors, taking the Word of righteousness and reconciliation, rightly divided and fitly spoken, to minister to those around us who are hurting and in need, that they may see Christ in us, the hope of Glory. While we are here, as the body of Christ, we humbly minister and serve one another in love as Jesus loved us and served us, and disciple one another in and through the Word of GOD that we may all grow up in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ. The mission of the Church of GOD is to take the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit to this lost and dying world and as we go proclaim the Good News of forgiveness through repentance and reconciliation with the Father through faith in His Son, that those who believe that He is the Messiah, the Christ of GOD might have life in His Name.

For GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance and the knowledge of the Truth. I will teach you by the hand of GOD

As GOD liveth, who hath taken away my judgment; and the Almighty, who hath vexed my soul; All the while my breath is in me, and the Spirit of GOD is in my nostrils; My lips shall not speak wickedness, nor my tongue utter deceit.
For what is the hope of the hypocrite, though he hath gained, when GOD taketh away his soul? Will God hear his cry when trouble cometh upon him? Will he delight himself in the Almighty? will he always call upon GOD? (Job 27:2-4, 8-10)
Job maintained, and rightfully so, his integrity and righteousness in relation to GOD. He knew his righteousness came from His faith in GOD and in his obedience to GOD'S requirements. His hope was in GOD and he knew, though he questioned what was going on, and why the troubles he was experienced were happening, that GOD would bring him through it all. He believed that GOD'S Judgment was just, and the experiences of this world even by the faithful are complex and frustrating, for we live in a broken and dying world corrupted by sin. He was not trusting in himself, or what He had done, but in GOD who had redeemed him and made him righteous in His sight.

Our works don't save us or make us right with GOD but they do follow and reflect the faith that we have. We ought to be doing the works GOD calls us to accomplish for Him because of what GOD has done for us, and because of His love within us, not to save us or to earn any favours with GOD. Those who are trusting in their works, or behaviour, or religion to save them, apart from saving faith in Jesus Christ alone and His finished and perfect work on the Cross of Calvary, are fooling themselves and GOD will not receive them unto Himself because we never knew Him. Neither will our works maintain our relationship with Him, for if we truly are a new creature in Christ, that cannot be undone. That is not a license to sin all we want, or to do our will, but liberty in Christ to live in and through Him a life of service and love for Christ and to others.

Those who are playing games with church, and with GOD, and are not the Christian they think they are, because they have never truly repented of their sins and been born again, will be cast out of the presence of GOD at judgment because they were never His. That which we do, if we do it to earn favour with GOD, and not out of the abundance of the love of GOD shed abroad in our hearts by the Spirit of GOD which is within, is of the flesh and is filthy rags in the sight of GOD. GOD demands, and He has the right to as our Creator, the only Redeemer, and soon coming King, our complete and total surrender on His terms for us to be in right relationship with Him. He desires, out of His great love for all, that we come to Him and believe in Him and His Word, and receive Him by faith and complete trust in who He is and what He has done to pay the penalty for our sin, once for all.

GOD'S Church must stop playing church and playing games with the Gospel, and be about our Father's business. We are here to serve, called to minister to those around us who are hurting and in need, with the Word of righteousness, reconciliation, and Truth, rightly divided and fitly spoken, that they may see Christ in us, the hope of Glory. We are here to disciple, commanded to love one another and equip one another in the Word that we may all grow into the full measure of Him who first loved us. We are here to witness, commissioned to take the Gospel of Jesus Christ to this lost and dying world, that as we go, in the power of the Holy Spirit that is within us, we proclaim the Good News of forgiveness through repentance and reconciliation with the Father through faith in His Son, that those who believe that He is the Christ, the Messiah of GOD, might have life in His Name.

For GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance and the knowledge of the Truth. Can a man be profitable unto GOD

Acquaint now thyself with Him, and be at peace: thereby good shall come unto thee. Receive, I pray thee, the law from his mouth, and lay up his words in thine heart. If thou return to the Almighty, thou shalt be built up, thou shalt put away iniquity far from thy tabernacles. Then shalt thou lay up gold as dust, and the gold of Ophir as the stones of the brooks. Yea, the Almighty shall be thy defence, and thou shalt have plenty of silver. For then shalt thou have thy delight in the Almighty, and shalt lift up thy face unto God. (Job 22:21-26)
Eliphaz tries to make an argument that contradicts what Job actually has said. Job was not trying to hide anything, and certainly knew that the Almighty could see his pain and suffering. His question was why it was happening and why GOD was, as he thought in his mind at the time, punishing him when as far as he knew he had done what was required to be righteous. GOD had called him His righteous and faithful servant, and allowed the test, but Job was not aware of that part of the conversation, and neither was Eliphaz. Eliphaz insisted that Job must be trying to hide his sin and rebellion from GOD and needed to return to GOD.

Since this test was not punishment for egregious sin, nor was it the every day calamities that befall all of us who live in this broken and dying world, Eliphaz was in error and his admonishment to Job was misdirected. We would do well to take his words to heart if we are away from GOD or hiding from Him who sees and knows all.  For those that are secure in Christ and made righteous through repentance of our sin, and our faith in Him and His finished and perfect work on the Cross of Calvary, we are held in His hands and no matter what comes our way we are safe. That is not a license to sin, for sin is still a reproach and rebellion against GOD, but our sins are and continue to be forgiven, and we are at liberty to live in and through Him the life we were meant to live.

That life is a life of service, love, and commitment to His will and His work in us and by us for His glory. We minister to those around us who are hurting and in need, as His ambassadors, with the Word of reconciliation and righteousness, rightly divided and fitly spoken, as He provides that we might be a blessing to others and they might see Christ in us, the hope of Glory. We love one another as members one of another and children of the King, and disciple one another in His Word that we may grow thereby until we are all grown into the full measure of Him who is our Head. We take the Gospel of Jesus Christ with us as we go in the power of the Holy Ghost that is within us, and proclaim His Good News of forgiveness through repentance and reconciliation with the Father through faith in Him that those who believe in Him might have life in His Name.

For GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance and the knowledge of the Truth. That ye may know there is a judgment

Have pity upon me, have pity upon me, O ye my friends; for the hand of GOD hath touched me. Why do ye persecute me as god, and are not satisfied with my flesh? Oh that my words were now written! oh that they were printed in a book! That they were graven with an iron pen and lead in the rock for ever! For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that He shall stand at the latter day upon the earth: And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see GOD: Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me. (Job 19:21-27)
Job responds to his friends counsel with a well deserved tirade against them for their words of condemnation and rebuke. Job knew that more was going on here, even though he didn't recognize the test that was involved. He knew that GOD had brought this, even though the reality Job was not aware of is that GOD had allowed the testing of His servant. His friends were even worse in their misunderstanding of Job's test and of the nature and character of GOD. Job knew his condition and knew He would see His Lord, His Creator, Redeemer, and King.

Job got his wish that his words be written down. History does not record who wrote them, but they were written for us to review and study that we might learn from Job. Can we say with the same certainty that we know Jesus lives, and that we shall see Him who has redeemed us from the curse and saved us from our sins and from ourselves. We have more of His revelation of Himself than Job had, and yet many still do not believe. We have His Word, which will not fail, and will never be wrong, and it leads to repentance of our sins and faith in Him and His finished and perfect work on the Cross of Calvary for forgiveness and Salvation. Jesus is our Lord, our Creator, Redeemer, and King.

GOD's mercy, even in the testing of Job, means we are not consumed. His grace offers unto us eternal life in Him. But, when His cup of wrath is full, there is coming a judgment and His justice will be rendered perfectly unto all who have rejected Him. Those who have never repented of their sins and acknowledged His Holiness and their need of Him will face Jesus Christ as their Judge. Those who have never received Jesus Christ and surrendered to Him on His terms will bow to GOD in His righteous anger and justice. Those who have never been forgiven and redeemed, not as a license to sin all we want, but as liberty to live in and through Him who is our life, will suffer the second death. GOD is long-suffering, but He is also righteous and Holy, and must punish sin by death. We can never pay for our own, but Christ has already paid the penalty for sin, the just for the unjust, that we might be made the righteousness of GOD in Him.

The message of Hope we have is the only message which will save. Only Christ can redeem, only Jesus can deliver the lost, only GOD can forgive all sin and make us new creatures in Him, to have His abundant and everlasting life. The love of GOD constrains us to go and tell all who will hear of His love for all, commended to us in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us. We live in Him, to serve Him, and meet the needs of those around us who are hurting and in need, with the Word of righteousness and reconciliation, rightly divided and fitly spoken, that they may see Christ in us, the hope of Glory. We are His workmanship, loving one another in fellowship as we disciple all believers in His Word, and do His will and accomplish His work in this broken and sinful world. We go with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, in the power of the Holy Spirit, where He sends us to proclaim to this lost and dying world the Good News of forgiveness through repentance and reconciliation with the Father through faith in His Son, that those who believe that He is the Christ, the Son of GOD, might have life in His Name.

For GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance and the knowledge of the Truth. Jesus loves you and wants to establish a covenant relationship with you that is real and personal. Mine eye poureth out tears unto GOD

4/20/2016

Shall vain words have an end? or what emboldeneth thee that thou answerest? I also could speak as ye do: if your soul were in my soul's stead, I could heap up words against you, and shake mine head at you. But I would strengthen you with my mouth, and the moving of my lips should asswage your grief. Though I speak, my grief is not asswaged: and though I forbear, what am I eased? (Job 16:3-6)
Because of his friends counsel, with its many theological and personal errors and misapplications, Job was not comforted in his suffering at all. As much as they thought they were helping, Job was getting tired of hearing their admonishments and theories. He pointed out that he could be like them and pile on with the tongue lashings, but he knew it was better to be kind and truly comforting with our words. He echoed the psalmist who wanted his words and the meditations of his heart which led to those words to be pleasing to GOD. His friends words were wounding him, making his grief worse, and had even added to his tears.

Our speech ought to be seasoned with salt and full of truth, spoken in love. There may be times for plain and direct words which rebuke, reprove, or correct, but always in love and charity. When we speak the Oracles of GOD it ought to be rightly divided and fitly spoken that we may glorify GOD and edify the hearer. The example of Job's friends shows us that even when we are theologically correct, we can fail to comfort or instruct properly because our knowledge is incomplete, or our use of the Scripture is misapplied. Neither is pleasing to our LORD who has taught us to study His Word, not for knowledge sake, which puffs up, but that we might lovingly edify and encourage those around us even in correction, as we all grow up in Christ.

Those who have never received Christ by faith in His finished and perfect work on the Cross of Calvary by faith and repentance cannot receive the things of the Spirit of GOD which are spiritually discerned. GOD has called us, as ambassadors of Christ, to take the Word of reconciliation and righteousness and with the providence of GOD minister to those around us who are hurting and in need. Our Lord has commanded us to love one another as He first loved us and to disciple one another in the Word of GOD that we may all be conformed to the image of His dear Son. We are commissioned to His service and as His witnesses to take the Gospel of Jesus Christ to this lost and dying world that they might be saved, and as we go in the power of the Holy Spirit proclaim the Good News of forgiveness of sin through repentance and reconciliation with the Father through faith in His Son that they might have life in His Name.

For GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance and the knowledge of the Truth. Jesus loves you and wants to establish a covenant relationship with you that is real and personal. Are the consolations of GOD small with thee

Should a wise man utter vain knowledge, and fill his belly with the east wind? Should he reason with unprofitable talk? or with speeches wherewith he can do no good?
What is man, that he should be clean? and he which is born of a woman, that he should be righteous?
How much more abominable and filthy is man, which drinketh iniquity like water?
Let not him that is deceived trust in vanity: for vanity shall be his recompence. (Job 15:2-3, 14, 16, 31)
Once again Eliphaz speaks against Job and utters the wisdom of man. Though there is some truth in what he speaks of, so much of what he has to say is in error, or misapplied because he is not aware or ignoring the possibility of the righteous testing of Job. Those that are safe and secure in the hand of GOD are not always delivered out of the fire or storm, but often carried through it. The fire purifies and the wind drives away the chaff, and so GOD uses or allows those things to occur to strengthen those of us who are in Him by faith in His finished and perfect work on the Cross of Calvary. But, since the rain falls on the just and the unjust, we must be careful in trying to assign judgment or consequences to GOD without knowledge of what He is doing.

Eliphaz didn't have it completely right about the ungodly either. Often in this world, those who oppose GOD and choose their own way, seem to be blessed and glorified. But their end is coming, their seeming success in this life will not last, and no can take anything with them into the next. Our idea of justice may be slow or somehow missing, but GOD is faithful and just and will exact punishment on all those who reject Him in His time. His wrath against sin will be poured out on all those who are still in their sins and have not been redeemed by His blood shed for all. We are all guilty and condemned because of sin, and GOD has provided His great Salvation by His mercy and grace, that those who receive it through repentance and faith are justified, not to continue to sin, but to live in and through Him a new life in Christ.

GOD calls His people to His work of reconciliation and redemption, to ministry and missions, to do His will in this broken and dying world. We are strangers and pilgrims, sojourning here as ambassadors of Christ and His Kingdom, with the Word of GOD, rightly divided and fitly spoken, that we might serve those around us who are hurting and in need, both in word and in deed. GOD commands His children to love one another as He first loved us and to disciple one another in His Word that we might grow into the full measure of Him who is our life. GOD has commissioned His church to take the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the power of the Holy Ghost which is within us, and as we go where He sends and directs, we proclaim the Good News of forgiveness through repentance and reconciliation with the Father through faith in His Son that those who believe that Jesus is the Christ might have life in His Name.

For GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance and the knowledge of the Truth. Jesus loves you and wants to establish a covenant relationship with you that is real and personal. Shall not His excellency make you afraid

Who knoweth not in all these that the hand of the LORD hath wrought this? In whose hand is the soul of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind. Doth not the ear try words? and the mouth taste his meat? With the ancient is wisdom; and in length of days understanding. With Him is wisdom and strength, He hath counsel and understanding. Behold, He breaketh down, and it cannot be built again: He shutteth up a man, and there can be no opening. Behold, He withholdeth the waters, and they dry up: also He sendeth them out, and they overturn the earth. With Him is strength and wisdom: the deceived and the deceiver are His.  (Job 12:9-16)
Job was beginning to wonder, especially in light of what his friends and counselors were saying about him and about GOD that wasn't quite accurate or downright wrong, about his condition and the reason for his trial. Job knew that GOD is all knowing and all powerful and man cannot stand in His presence apart from His grace. His wisdom is far above ours and His knowledge is complete and perfect, even knowing the beginning from the ending. Our GOD is the first and the last, the Creator, Redeemer, and King.

What He chooses to accomplish will be done, and yet, He gives us the free will to choose Him that our relationship might be one of love and adoration, not forced obedience. Just as Adam chose to disobey and sin came upon all men, so we must chose to trust Jesus Christ and His finished and perfect work on the Cross of Calvary for Salvation. Forgiveness comes from GOD, who draws all to Himself, when we repent and reconciliation comes when we believe in Him and trust His Word. Job replied to his friends that GOD is eternal, and yet intimately concerned with His creation. We must understand that we come to know GOD through faith, for He that cometh to GOD must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. He will be found, He is not hiding, He has revealed Himself to us and He wants people to know Him, to love Him, and to serve Him out of a heartfelt gratitude for all He has done for us.

His people serve others because of our love for Christ, and our love for those which He has created in His image and died to save. His people love one another because we are members one of another and disciple one another in His Word because of Him who first loved us. His people take the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit to this lost and dying world, that those who don't yet know the Good News of forgiveness through repentance and reconciliation with the Father through faith in His Son might believe and have life in His Name.

My roarings are poured out like the waters

For now should I have lain still and been quiet, I should have slept: then had I been at rest,
There the wicked cease from troubling; and there the weary be at rest. There the prisoners rest together; they hear not the voice of the oppressor. The small and great are there; and the servant is free from his master. (Job 3:13, 17-19)
Job, in his misery during this first week when his friends and comforters came and lamented his condition, didn't cry out to GOD for answers yet, but wished for death, even crying that he had never been born. Neither wish was helpful at this point, even though his grief was very real and his condition was very painful and grievous. But, even in his lamenting and crying, He didn't charge GOD foolishly.

Those of us who are born again by faith in Him and His finished and perfect work on the Cross of Calvary and trusting in His great Salvation through repentance of our sin, ought not to allow our circumstances to control us, nor should we respond to them, even in trials and tribulations, we ought to be worshipful, grateful, and at rest in Him who is our peace in the midst of the storm. We may not be happy with what is happening around us, or the evil calamities we may suffer in this broken and dying world, but we can be joyful in the Spirit and wait patiently on the Lord. Though all around us may be chaotic and uncontrollable, He is our strength. Though we may not see the goodness in those things which come our way, He is our Lord and is in control, working all things for His glory and for His purpose of conforming us to His image and growing us into the full measure of Him.

For GOD calls His Church to serve, as His ambassadors, not sitting around the meeting house congratulating ourselves on how spiritual we are because we bothered to show up on Sunday, but ministering to those around us who are hurting and in need, with the things of this life, and with the Word of GOD, rightly divided and fitly spoken. GOD commands His children to love one another in fellowship, forgiving and forbearing one another, and as members in particular, even as He loved us, and to disciple one another in the Word of GOD that we may grow thereby.  GOD has commissioned and sent His people forth in the power of the Holy Spirit and with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, that as we go into this lost and dying world, we may proclaim His Good News of forgiveness of sin through repentance and reconciliation with the Father through faith in His Son that in believing that Jesus is the Christ they might have life in His Name.
