He is alive

And very early in the morning the first day of the week, they came unto the sepulchre at the rising of the sun. And they said among themselves, Who shall roll us away the stone from the door of the sepulchre? And when they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away: for it was very great. And entering into the sepulchre, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a long white garment; and they were affrighted. And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: He is risen; He is not here: behold the place where they laid Him. (Mar 16:2-6)
Our Lord, having paid our sin debt, yet without sin, Himself was not subject to death. The grave could not hold Him. Death could not keep Him, for He is life. He has paid for our sins, and satisfied the Father’s wrath, and all who receive Him by faith in Him and His finished and perfect work on the Cross of Calvary are no longer under condemnation but free. We free to free to live in Him the life we are meant to live through Him and free to live a life of holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.

The stone was not rolled away to let Him out, but that His disciples and followers would see in, and know that He had risen, that He was alive, and would see them just as He said. The angel was sitting, no longer covering the mercy seat, but now at rest, just as we rest in Him who is our life, our peace, and our rest, because He has fulfilled the Law, made a way for us to have peace with GOD through His sacrifice and given us victory over sin, death, and the grave. We have victory in Him, not to live as we please, or to do as we will, but to accomplish His will and do the work He has for us to do in this broken and sinful world.

The Lord Jesus has called His redeemed Church to serve Him as His ambassadors, with the Word of reconciliation and righteousness, rightly divided and fitly spoken, and to minister to those around us who are hurting and in need with that which GOD provides. Our GOD and Saviour has commanded us to love one another as He first loved us and gave Himself for us, and to disciple one another in His Word that we might grow up into the full measure of Him who commended His love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Our Master has commissioned us into His service to take the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit and as we go, proclaim the Good News of forgiveness through repentance and reconciliation with the Father through faith in His Son, that those who believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Messiah of GOD, might have life in His Name.

For GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance and the knowledge of the Truth. Jesus loves you and wants to establish a covenant relationship with you that is real and personal. Surrender to Him on His terms and He will give you a brand new life of discipleship and fellowship with Him that is abundant and everlasting. GOD calls you to trust Him and what He has already done for you to pay your sIn debt. He has provided the only way of reconciliation with GOD, forgiveness from GOD, and Salvation through Jesus Christ, the Son of GOD who is GOD the Son, to give you a new life in Christ. Turn away from yourself and your sIn and turn to Him alone for eternal Life, now and always.

Shew me wherefore Thou contendest with me

Are Thy days as the days of man? are Thy years as man's days, That Thou enquirest after mine iniquity, and searchest after my sin? Thou knowest that I am not wicked; and there is none that can deliver out of Thine hand. Thine hands have made me and fashioned me together round about; yet Thou dost destroy me. Remember, I beseech thee, that Thou hast made me as the clay; and wilt Thou bring me into dust again? (Job 10:5-9)
GOD is not like us, nor are His ways and thoughts like ours. He is outside of time, for He created time, and He is eternal. He is without error or sin, for He is Holy and just. He is all knowing and all powerful, however, there are things He allows and directs, for our correcting or testing, which seem on the surface to be outside His character and nature, but bring about His purposes of conforming us to His image. He also, while still in control for He is Sovereign, allows many things to happen without direct involvement in this broken and dying world. That is not to say that He cannot direct such things, or that any thing that happens is not because He is accomplishing His plans, ways, and purposes, but it is to acknowledge that while He is Lord everything that occurs is not a directed act of GOD in this sinful and broken world suffering under the curse of sin which man brought upon himself.

GOD can and does test us, and can remove us from this world at His discretion, for He is Lord of all. The bigger reality is that death has come upon all men, as a result of Adam's sin, because all men sin. GOD has already judged sin and this world and without Christ all are already under condemnation for sin. But Jesus Christ, the Son of GOD who is GOD the Son, came as a man, lived a sinless life in complete obedience to the Father, even to the Cross, and paid our sin debt as a perfect and holy sacrifice for all sin and a ransom for many. All those that recognize and acknowledge their sin before GOD, repent of that sin and turn to GOD and His mercy, and receive Jesus Christ by faith in Him and His finished and perfect work on the Cross of Calvary for Salvation are made new creatures in Christ, their sins removed, not just covered as Job's were, but as far as the east is from the west removed. That is not a license to sin, but victory and redemption in and through Christ Jesus our Lord.

GOD wants all of His people to live that victorious life in Him, forgiven and freed from sin, that we might accomplish His will and do His work while we are strangers in this world and His ambassadors to it. We are called to minister to others around us who are hurting and in need, with the Word of righteousness and reconciliation, rightly divided and fitly spoken, that they may see Christ in us, the hope of Glory. We are commanded to love one another and to disciple one another in His Word that we might grow thereby and all come into the full measure of Him who first loved us. We are commissioned to take the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit wherever He sends us, and as we go in obedience to Him proclaim the Good News of forgiveness of sin through repentance and reconciliation with the Father through faith in His Son that those who believe that He is the Christ might have life in His Name.

For GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance and the knowledge of the Truth. Jesus loves you and wants to establish a covenant relationship with you that is real and personal. It is Finished and Jesus has won the Victory

For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into Heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of GOD for us: Nor yet that He should offer Himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others; For then must He often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath He appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself. And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for Him shall He appear the second time without sin unto Salvation. (Heb 9:24-28)
The sacrifice in the flesh of the body of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ was done once for all and is sufficient and final, never to be repeated. He paid our sin price completely and perfectly when He offered Himself in our place, to pay our sin debt, and to redeem us from the Law, from sIn, and from the grave. He was without sIn, and satisfied the Father's wrath with the shedding of His blood on that tree in humble obedience to the Law and to His Father's will. He lives, having overcome sin and the grave, and sits at the right hand of the Majesty on High, ever living to intercede for His own until He comes back to judge the quick and the dead at His appearing and His Kingdom.

That shed blood sprinkled on the mercy seat in Heaven is available to all who will receive it by faith and repentance, not as a license to keep on sinning or to do what we want, for Christ is not the minister of sin, but of righteousness and holiness for those who come to Him on His terms. Because of His righteousness, when we receive Him by faith in His finished and perfect work on the Cross of Calvary in our place and repentance of our sins, we who are dead in our trespasses and sins are made alive in Christ and born again. Because of His sacrifice for the sins of the world, slain from the foundation, we who are saved and resurrected with Him are to walk in Him in newness of life, a new creature in Christ, redeemed, made whole, and cleansed to live His life in this world until He brings us Home to be with Him.

The abundant life we now live in Him and through Him is a life of service, not to get or keep any thing He has given us by His grace, but because of His mercy and love we obey Him. We serve as His ambassadors in ministry and with the Word of reconciliation, serving and ministering to those around us who are hurting and in need that they may see Jesus in us, the hope of Glory. We serve one another as we disciple and fellowship together, equipping the saints and edifying the believers until we are all conformed to His image through His Word. We serve as His witnesses, proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ, as we go in the power of the Holy Spirit where and when He sends us to share the Good News of forgiveness and reconciliation with the Father that those who hear and believe in Him might have life in His Name.

For GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance and the knowledge of the Truth. Jesus loves you and wants to establish a covenant relationship with you that is real and personal. Thou hast given this great deliverance

And Samson went and caught three hundred foxes, and took firebrands, and turned tail to tail, and put a firebrand in the midst between two tails. And when he had set the brands on fire, he let them go into the standing corn of the Philistines, and burnt up both the shocks, and also the standing corn, with the vineyards and olives. Then the Philistines said, Who hath done this? And they answered, Samson, the son in law of the Timnite, because he had taken his wife, and given her to his companion. And the Philistines came up, and burnt her and her father with fire. And Samson said unto them, Though ye have done this, yet will I be avenged of you, and after that I will cease. And he smote them hip and thigh with a great slaughter: and he went down and dwelt in the top of the rock Etam. (Jdg 15:4-8)
In response to his father-in-law giving his Philistine wife to another, Samson destroyed the crops of the Philistines. GOD was using Samson to judge Israel and the Philistines which they had at one time put under subjection, but never fully defeated nor removed from the land of Israel, and now oppressed them. When the Philistines exacted a response upon his wife and father-in-law, Samson slaughtered even more of them. The strength which the Spirit of GOD gave him because of his faith, led to the deliverance of Israel during his time as judge.

GOD desires the deliverance of His people, not only from the circumstances they find themselves in, many of their own making, but also from the sin which leads to such circumstances. GOD has demonstrated His love for all in that He gave His only begotten Son, the ultimate Judge and Deliverer, to conquer sIn and the grave, and to give eternal life to all who will receive it through repentance and by faith in His and His finished and perfect work on the Cross of Calvary in our place. He wants to conquer and eliminate the giants and enemies in our live that keep us defeated, that we might serve Him and grow in Him to do His work and accomplish His will in this sinful and broken world, that He might be glorified in all things.

GOD has called, commanded, and commissioned His Church to the work of missions, ministry, discipleship, and evangelism. Sharing the message of Salvation is the scarlet thread that winds through the thrice wound  work of the church. He has called us to serve Him, His ambassadors with the Word of reconciliation to minister to those around us who are hurting and in need. He has commanded us to love one another, and to disciple one another that we may all grow through His Word into the full measure of Him who first loved us. He has commissioned us to take the Good News of reconciliation with the Father, in the power of the Holy Spirit, and as we go, tell all who will hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ, that they might repent and believe and have new life in His Name.

For GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance and the knowledge of the the Truth. Jesus loves you and wants to establish a covenant relationship with you that is real and personal. The Sword of the LORD and of Gideon

And when Gideon was come, behold, there was a man that told a dream unto his fellow, and said, Behold, I dreamed a dream, and, lo, a cake of barley bread tumbled into the host of Midian, and came unto a tent, and smote it that it fell, and overturned it, that the tent lay along. And his fellow answered and said, This is nothing else save the sword of Gideon the son of Joash, a man of Israel: for into his hand hath GOD delivered Midian, and all the host. And it was so, when Gideon heard the telling of the dream, and the interpretation thereof, that he worshipped, and returned into the host of Israel, and said, Arise; for the LORD hath delivered into your hand the host of Midian. And he divided the three hundred men into three companies, and he put a trumpet in every man's hand, with empty pitchers, and lamps within the pitchers. And he said unto them, Look on me, and do likewise: and, behold, when I come to the outside of the camp, it shall be that, as I do, so shall ye do. When I blow with a trumpet, I and all that are with me, then blow ye the trumpets also on every side of all the camp, and say, The Sword of the LORD, and of Gideon. (Jdg 7:13-18)
A Midian soldier relays a dream and another interprets and foretells the coming destruction of their army at the hand of GOD. The Sword of the Lord who fought for them would indeed destroy the army of the Midianites. GOD was, and still is, in control of all things, and in this account, He delivered Israel with 300 men, using trumpets and pitchers with lamps in them. The noise of the trumpets and their shouts, and the sounds and lights of breaking pitchers and shining lamps may have momentarily distracted a sleeping army, but it was the Lord that confused the enemy and gave Israel the victory and our GOD the glory for He is GOD Almighty.

Our GOD can and does do many mighty things for His people, He wants to shew Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is perfect toward Him. Our faith and trust must be in Him and in His ways and His thoughts which though they are higher than ours, we have from His Word, and can know them and seek the face and mind of GOD through it and believe.  Gideon obeyed GOD, though his trust wavered somewhat, and GOD responded with the deliverance of Israel. We also must trust and obey, that GOD can work in our lives the battle He has already won.

We have His Sword, the Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of GOD. We must know how to wield it, that GOD, whose Word does not go out void, and who goes before us into battle, can win a victory in our battles. Whether it is witnessing, or fighting temptation, or maturing disciples in their walk with the Lord, or correcting those who oppose themselves and are at war with GOD, the Sword of the Spirit is our weapon, not of the flesh, but mighty through GOD to the pulling down of strong holds; casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of GOD, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.

We are His ambassadors, living the Kingdom life, not of this world even while we are still in it, and representing our King. We have His Word of reconciliation, and are ministers of His peace, to serve others and share Christ with those around us who are hurting and in need. We have His Word to disciple others, profitable for Doctrine, for correction, for reproof, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of GOD may be perfect throughly furnished unto all good works. We have His Gospel to take to this lost and dying world that they may hear of their need to repent of their sins and be forgiven, and to receive Him by faith in His finished and perfect work on the Cross of Calvary, and as we go, share the Good News of forgiveness in Christ and Salvation in His Name.

For GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance and the knowledge of the the Truth. Jesus loves you and wants to establish a covenant relationship with you that is real and personal. Surrender to Him on His terms and He will give you a brand new life of discipleship and fellowship with Him that is abundant and everlasting. The battle belongs to the Lord

And the LORD said unto Gideon, The people that are with thee are too many for Me to give the Midianites into their hands, lest Israel vaunt themselves against Me, saying, Mine own hand hath saved me. Now therefore go to, proclaim in the ears of the people, saying, Whosoever is fearful and afraid, let him return and depart early from mount Gilead. And there returned of the people twenty and two thousand; and there remained ten thousand. And the LORD said unto Gideon, The people are yet too many; bring them down unto the water, and I will try them for thee there: and it shall be, that of whom I say unto thee, This shall go with thee, the same shall go with thee; and of whomsoever I say unto thee, This shall not go with thee, the same shall not go. So he brought down the people unto the water: and the LORD said unto Gideon, Every one that lappeth of the water with his tongue, as a dog lappeth, him shalt thou set by himself; likewise every one that boweth down upon his knees to drink. And the number of them that lapped, putting their hand to their mouth, were three hundred men: but all the rest of the people bowed down upon their knees to drink water. And the LORD said unto Gideon, By the three hundred men that lapped will I save you, and deliver the Midianites into thine hand: and let all the other people go every man unto his place. (Jdg 7:2-7)
GOD told Gideon that he had gathered too many people for the coming battle, an announcement that would have surprised most leaders, especially military commanders. If Israel had gone out with the 32,000 men against the Midianites, even under the mighty hand of GOD, the people would have seen the battle in purely human terms, that Israel defeated Midian. By reducing the number, to just what GOD needed, on His terms, the Lord made it very clear who won this battle and who is in control of all things, especially for His people. 300 men against this vastly superiour force would, and did, need supernatural help from GOD to defeat them. GOD moved against Midian and they were defeated, and Israel was once again delivered by GOD from their oppressors. He demonstrated His power and shewed Himself strong in the behalf of His people and He was glorified in the victory.

GOD is faithful and merciful, He continues today offering Salvation to all who will come and to keep His covenant with His people, even when we fail Him. Through His power and because of His love, He preserved Israel as a nation, even while chastising them, using their enemies to bring them back to Him, and eventually delivering His people into captivity for a time because of their sin. But GOD, in His infinite mercy is not done with Israel, nor is He done with us. He is still watching over all His people, protecting us, and drawing us back to Himself, and drawing those that don't yet know Him to be born again in Him. There will come a day, when GOD is done with His Church, that He will once again return to Israel to deal with their sin, and the sins of the world, and rule over Israel and this world from Jerusalem.

Until that day, He has called us who are His church, the body of Christ to minister as His ambassadors to those who around us who are hurting and in need. He has commanded His people, and the members of His body and of one another in particular, to love one another as He has loved us, and to disciple one another in the Word of GOD until we all grow up into the full measure of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ who fought and won our battle against sin. He has commissioned us who know Him, as His witnesses, to take the Gospel of Jesus Christ to every one we meet, that those who hear the Good News and recognize their need of Him, repent of their sins, and receive Him by faith in His finished and perfect work on the Cross of Calvary might have life in His Name.

For GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance and the knowledge of the the Truth. Jesus loves you and wants to establish a covenant relationship with you that is real and personal. The LORD is with thee

And the Angel of GOD said unto him, Take the flesh and the unleavened cakes, and lay them upon this rock, and pour out the broth. And he did so. Then the angel of the LORD put forth the end of the staff that was in His hand, and touched the flesh and the unleavened cakes; and there rose up fire out of the rock, and consumed the flesh and the unleavened cakes. Then the Angel of the LORD departed out of his sight. And when Gideon perceived that He was an Angel of the LORD, Gideon said, Alas, O Lord GOD! for because I have seen an Angel of the LORD face to face. And the LORD said unto him, Peace be unto thee; fear not: thou shalt not die. Then Gideon built an altar there unto the LORD, and called it JEHOVAHSHALOM: unto this day it is yet in Ophrah of the Abiezrites. (Jdg 6:20-24)
Our Lord, in one of His pre-incarnate appearances, comes to Gideon with the call to service and victory under the mighty hand of GOD. Gideon was rightfully fearful in the presence of GOD Himself, and when He understood, He worshiped with offerings and praise, building an altar commemorating the Prince of Peace who had come to Him. Gideon was rewarded for his faith and because GOD had work for him to do, as judge and deliverer, to lead the people of Israel as GOD once again brought peace into the land and to His people.

Because He loves this world, GOD calls all to a covenant relationship with Him through repentance and faith in His finished and perfect work on the Cross of Calvary. Those of us who have received Him and been born again are at peace with GOD through Jesus Christ, and are called to service and becoming Christ-like as we grow in Him and fellowship with Him. Those who have His great Salvation and love Him because of His forgiveness and reconciliation toward us are not licensed to sin more, but are called to holiness and His righteousness. He is with us and in us, and the new life we live in Him by His grace is His life in us that we live by faith in Him and for His glory.

GOD, who is our peace and worthy of all worship, has work for us to do. His Church, which we who are His are members in particular, are His servants, His disciples, and His witnesses. We are called, each of us, no matter our condition or place in the body, to serve Him and minister to those around us who are hurting and in need, as He provides and guides us who are obedient to His Word. We are commanded, as members one of another, to disciple one another in His Word and in the love of Christ. We are commissioned to go into this world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit that is within us, and as we go, to testify of His grace, mercy, justice, and judgement, that those who hear and believe the Good News of peace and reconciliation with the Father might have life in His Name.

Let them that love Him be as the sun

Praise ye the LORD for the avenging of Israel, when the people willingly offered themselves. Hear, O ye kings; give ear, O ye princes; I, even I, will sing unto the LORD; I will sing praise to the LORD GOD of Israel. LORD, when Thou wentest out of Seir, when Thou marchedst out of the field of Edom, the earth trembled, and the heavens dropped, the clouds also dropped water. The mountains melted from before the LORD, even that Sinai from before the LORD GOD of Israel. (Jdg 5:2-5)
Deborah sang a song of praise unto the Lord for the victory that GOD brought to Israel. She worshiped Him for His deliverance of His people. Though Barak led the armies against their enemies, and Jael nailed Sisera to the floor, it was GOD that gave them the victory. The Lord moved against the enemies of Israel, and they could not overcome the children of Israel. Chariots of iron, fields of soldiers, even the very mountains cannot stand before the LORD GOD Almighty.

If GOD be for us, who can be against us. Though in this life they may seem to be victorious for a season, or even have the upper hand against us for a time, GOD has already won. Our weapons are not carnal, or of this world, but mighty through GOD to the pulling down of strong holds. We don't war against the flesh, but against principalities and powers, that though they have some rule over the darkness of this world for now, they are on a short leash, and thanks be to GOD who hath given us the victory in and through our Lord Jesus Christ.

GOD, put on flesh and dwelt among us, and conquered sin, death, and the grave on that cruel Roman cross when He finished the payment for our sin. He took away all the ordinances which were against us, not so that we could sin all we want to, but so that we could live holy, victorious, and righteous lives in and through Him and shine as lights in this world, and dwell in Him and He in us, until He brings us into His presence and we are evermore with the Lord.

Until then we, as His ambassadors, are called to minister in His Name to those around us who are hurting and in need, as salt and light to a thirsty and dark world that needs to see and know the love of GOD. While we are here, as His children and members one of another, we are to love one another and disciple one another in the Word of GOD, that we may be equipped to heal, encouraged to shine, and enabled to the battle He has already won, as we grow into the image of His Son through His Word and in His Spirit. As long as He tarries we, as His witnesses, are to go out into this lost and dying world with the shining light of His Gospel and praise Him, and as we go, telling all who will hear of the Good News of Jesus Christ, that those who will hear and believe in Him and His finished and perfect work on the Cross of Calvary and repent of their sins might have life in His Name.

For GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance and the knowledge of the the Truth. Is not the LORD gone out before thee?

And she sent and called Barak the son of Abinoam out of Kedeshnaphtali, and said unto him, Hath not the LORD GOD of Israel commanded, saying, Go and draw toward mount Tabor, and take with thee ten thousand men of the children of Naphtali and of the children of Zebulun? And I will draw unto thee to the river Kishon Sisera, the captain of Jabin's army, with his chariots and his multitude; and I will deliver him into thine hand. And Barak said unto her, If thou wilt go with me, then I will go: but if thou wilt not go with me, then I will not go. And she said, I will surely go with thee: notwithstanding the journey that thou takest shall not be for thine honour; for the LORD shall sell Sisera into the hand of a woman. And Deborah arose, and went with Barak to Kedesh. And Barak called Zebulun and Naphtali to Kedesh; and he went up with ten thousand men at his feet: and Deborah went up with him. (Jdg 4:6-10)
Deborah relayed the call of GOD to Barak, who asked for Deborah's help instead of the Lord's. Because Barak needed her to stand with him, the credit for the victory would go to someone else, specifically a woman. Sisera, the captain of the enemies forces was killed trying to hide in the tent of Heber the Kenite, whose wife nailed him to the floor after making him sleepy and contented. Barak may have led the armies of Israel, with Deborah by his side to record and assist him, but it was Jael that finished off Sisera, just as Deborah had told Barak it would happen.

When GOD calls us, we should be obedient, not putting conditions on our response or telling GOD how we want things to be. He has called all His people into His service, and our response should be Yes, Lord. Any thing less than full obedience is disobedience, which GOD cannot bless, and He may use some one else instead, some one who will obey and serve Him and He will chastise and correct those that grieve or quench His Spirit when He directs or commands us.

He has called His people to holiness that we may serve Him and accomplish His will and do His work in this world, not to earn or keep that which He has given us, but because of our love for Him who is our Lord and Saviour. He has called us to the battle and to the work, and He goes before us as the Commander of the Lord's army, and we are His ambassadors, soldiers, ministers, and workers, placed in His body as He wills and for His purposes to conform us to the image of his Son and draw all men unto Himself that they might receive His great Salvation.

As His servants we are to minister to others around us who are hurting and in need that they may see Jesus in us, the hope of Glory. As His soldiers and workers we are to equip, enable, encourage, and edify one another in love and in the Word so that we are engaged in His battles until we are all grown up into the full measure of Jesus Christ. As His ambassadors we are to take the Gospel of Jesus Christ to this lost and dying world, that those who hear the Good News of forgiveness through repentance of sin and reconciliation with the Father through faith in His finished and perfect work on the Cross of Calvary might believe in Him and have eternal life in His Name.

Be ye therefore very courageous to keep and to do all that is written in the book of the Law of Moses, that ye turn not aside therefrom to the right hand or to the left; That ye come not among these nations, these that remain among you; neither make mention of the name of their gods, nor cause to swear by them, neither serve them, nor bow yourselves unto them: But cleave unto the LORD your GOD, as ye have done unto this day. For the LORD hath driven out from before you great nations and strong: but as for you, no man hath been able to stand before you unto this day. One man of you shall chase a thousand: for the LORD your GOD, He it is that fighteth for you, as He hath promised you. Take good heed therefore unto yourselves, that ye love the LORD your GOD. (Jos 23:6-11)
Joshua warned the people to stay faithful to GOD and His Word. GOD told them of the blessings that come with faith and obedience, and the consequences of disbelief and disobedience to His Word. The generations to come would experience both the blessing and the curse because of their choices and behaviour in the land which the LORD had given them. When they believed and obeyed, GOD was with them and their enemies were driven out before them; when they turned away from GOD and disobeyed, He allowed the people of Israel to suffer defeat. GOD wanted His people to understand their complete need of Him in all things.

We too, must understand that our walk with GOD is not as equals, neither can we go through this life alone. Without Him we are nothing, and can do nothing, for He alone is our life, our power, our righteousness, and our victory. We must recognize our need of Him in all things, His great Salvation from our sIn through His Son Jesus Christ, His providence to meet our needs, His watch care over us as His dear children, and His Word to correct, guide, and instruct us in all matters of faith and practice while we live this life we now live in Him and through Him by faith in Him and Him alone.

We who have come to GOD by repentance and faith in His finished and perfect work on the Cross of Calvary are to live surrendered lives, totally trusting in Jesus Christ that He might work through us and for us. As His ministers, we take the Word of reconciliation to those around us who are hurting and in need, that they might see Jesus in us, the hope of Glory. As disciples of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, we love one another as He loved us, and equip, encourage, and enable one another as we grow in the Word of GOD into the full measure of Him. As His witnesses, we take the Word of GOD and the Gospel of Jesus Christ through the Spirit of GOD to this lost and dying world, that those who hear and believe the Good News of forgiveness and reconciliation with the Father might have life in His Name.

For GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance and the knowledge of the the Truth. Jesus loves you and wants to establish a covenant relationship with you that is real and personal.
