The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD: but the prayer of the upright is his delight. The way of the wicked is an abomination unto the LORD: but he loveth him that followeth after righteousness. Correction is grievous unto him that forsaketh the way: and he that hateth reproof shall die. Hell and destruction are before the LORD: how much more then the hearts of the children of men? (Pro 15:8-11)
Once again GOD reveals to us in the Proverbs a contrast between the unbeliever and the upright in heart. This time, He is comparing those that reject Him and reveals His response to their 'religion' without merit. He knows the hearts of men, and the Bible reveals all our wickedness. Those that have not received a new heart and life through Jesus Christ are wicked and deserving of death no matter how 'good' they seem to us.
When we consider our thoughts and actions from GOD's point of view, we should repent and throw ourselves on His mercy. Standing proud and shaking our fist at GOD because of His Law and Righteousness only leads to destruction. Being angry at GOD or doing 'religion' our own way is the way of death and Hell. If your only playing 'church' you are destroying yourself.
GOD loves all of us, and doesn't want us destroyed or separated from Him. He provided a way for us to be saved, and to live in fellowship with Him through the blood of Jesus Christ shed on the cross of Calvary. I pray that today will be the day you surrender to Him.
If you are one of His, tell someone about what He has done for you.
