The Words of the LORD are pure Words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, Thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever. (Psalms 12:6-7)
He not only reveals Himself, but also reveals mankind, our sIn, and our need for Him. The foundation laid in Genesis, the original source of most of our doctrines, is then further revealed and built upon as we go through Biblical History, leading to the final revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. All along the way we continue to see our GOD in His various and unchanging dealings with sIn, sinners and saints, believers and unbelievers, in both the natural and supernatural realms.
We who know Jesus Christ, because of our faith in His written revelation, as well as our relationship with the Living Word, trust Him to accomplish His purpose in us, not only because He has done so, but also because of what He has said He will do. His Word does not go out void, it will accomplish that which GOD wants it to. The Words of GOD will continue, despite this worlds attack on them, and not one Word will pass away. GOD wrote them, through various authors from all walks of life, over several generations, and He has preserved them through many changes in language, and will continue to do so for ever. We will always have His Word.
If you don't know Jesus, have never been born again by Faith in Him and His finished work on the Cross of Calvary as revealed in the Holy Scriptures, GOD's Word may at times seem strange or indecipherable to you. But, GOD is not willing that you should perish, He wants you to come to the knowledge of the Truth. The Truth that Jesus loves you and desires a covenant relationship with you that is real and personal. His Word tells us all that He loved us so much that He willingly and humbly stepped out of Heaven and became a man to die for our sIn. He wants you to know Him and receive a brand new life of discipleship and fellowship with Him that is abundant and everlasting.
Trust Him to reveal Himself to you, as He has done through His Word, the Bible, and believe in Him today.
In Christ,
Jefferson Sweet
