Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on Me through their word; That they all may be one; as Thou, Father, art in Me, and I in Thee, that they also may be one in Us: that the world may believe that Thou hast sent Me. And the Glory which Thou gavest Me I have given them; that they may be one, even as We are one: I in them, and Thou in Me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that Thou hast sent Me, and hast loved them, as Thou hast loved Me. Father, I will that they also, whom Thou hast given Me, be with Me where I am; that they may behold My Glory, which Thou hast given Me: for Thou lovedst Me before the foundation of the world. O righteous Father, the world hath not known Thee: but I have known Thee, and these have known that Thou hast sent Me. And I have declared unto them Thy Name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith Thou hast loved Me may be in them, and I in them. (Joh 17:20-26)
Our Lord prayed for us, that we who are in Him would be one with Him and with each other. One in ministry, purpose, and love, for we are His people, His family, His body, and are here to accomplish His work, as He empowers us, fills us with His Spirit, that we might glorify Him and the Father who works in and through us. We who are in Him are His servants in this lost and dying world, to do His will, and to complete the work He has given us to do while we are here.
We are here to do His work. We are to do good and be a good influence in this world, but not of it and not to the exclusion of the Gospel. The preaching of the Cross may be foolishness to them that perish, and those who live Godly in Christ Jesus may suffer persecution, but we are not to give up, or back down, from the Word of GOD and the message of Salvation through the finished and perfect work of Jesus Christ on the Cross of Calvary. We are to speak the Truth in love, His ambassadors and ministers of reconciliation, and are to be one with the Father in purpose, one with our Lord in ministry, and one with the Spirit in unity and the bond of peace.
Our Lord has prayed that we would be one with the Father in ministry and missions as we take His love and grace to those who are hurting and in need, as He guides and directs His body. He has prayed that we would be one with the Spirit in love as He disciples and family until have have grown into the full measure of Him. Our Lord prayed that we would be one with Him as He directs His bride with the Word of GOD and the Gospel of Jesus Christ to those who are without, that they may hear the Good News and repent, and in believing have life in His Name.
For GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance and the knowledge of the Truth. Jesus loves you and wants to establish a covenant relationship with you that is real and personal. Surrender to Him on His terms and He will give you a brand new life of discipleship and fellowship with Him that is abundant and everlasting. GOD calls you to trust Him and what He has already done for you to pay your sIn debt. He has provided the only way of reconciliation with GOD with forgiveness and Salvation through Jesus Christ, the Son of GOD who is GOD the Son, to give you a new life in Christ. Turn away from yourself and your sIn and turn to Him alone for eternal Life, now and always.
