Let me not be ashamed, O LORD; for I have called upon Thee: let the wicked be ashamed, and let them be silent in the grave. Let the lying lips be put to silence; which speak grievous things proudly and contemptuously against the righteous. Oh how great is Thy goodness, which Thou hast laid up for them that fear Thee; which Thou hast wrought for them that trust in Thee before the sons of men! Thou shalt hide them in the secret of Thy presence from the pride of man: Thou shalt keep them secretly in a pavilion from the strife of tongues. Blessed be the LORD: for He hath shewed me His marvellous kindness in a strong city. (Psalms 31:17-21)
We do not trust in our own righteousness, or our own good works to save us, for they are as filthy rags. We don't look to our own goodness, for compared to the perfect sinless Lamb of GOD, we are nothing.
Yet He loves us, and came to this earth humbly and willingly to die in our place and pay the sIn debt we could never pay. He is worthy of all praise, glory and honour for He paid it all. Those of us who know Him rest in His promise, rely on His presence, and rejoice in the peace that passeth all understanding. Our relationship with Him is not our doing, we simply received it by faith. It is of the Lord's mercy and His kindness toward us.
He extends that mercy and grace to those who have not yet believed. Jesus loves you and wants to establish a covenant relationship with you that is real and personal. He calls you to repent, turn from your sIn and surrender to GOD on His terms. He wants you to be born again and receive by faith in His finished work on that cruel Roman cross in your place, a brand new life of discipleship and fellowship that is abundant and everlasting. Trust His Word and receive His Salvation today.
In Christ,
