Whosoever therefore shall confess Me before men, him will I confess also before My Father which is in Heaven. But whosoever shall deny Me before men, him will I also deny before My Father which is in Heaven. Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after Me, is not worthy of Me. He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for My sake shall find it. He that receiveth you receiveth Me, and he that receiveth Me receiveth Him that sent Me. (Mat 10:32-34, 38-40)
The Lord Jesus does not want casual church attenders who claim His Name, but are not committed and disciplined followers of Him. Those of us who have a relationship with GOD the Father, through our faith in the finished and perfect work of Jesus Christ on the Cross of Calvary, must not shy away from His life lived in us. We are to deny ourselves, submit to His will and Word, and obey Him. Sometimes, that may cost us everything, but since it all belongs to Him anyway, it is His to take. The Lord gives, and the Lord takes, Blessed be the Name of the Lord.
Christians are not to be on the sidelines wringing their hands about the state of things, nor are our battles won politically, or with the weapons of this world and the flesh. The only true way to change hearts and minds, which will change people and our communities, is with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and His Word is our most powerful weapon. We are to hear it as the voice of GOD, read it as His words to us, study it to shew ourselves approved unto GOD, memorize it that we might not sIn against GOD, meditate on its precepts, and apply what GOD says to us from its pages. We must once again be people of the Book, and stand on its Authority.
Denying ourselves, we minister to others, as Ambassadors for the Kingdom of GOD, and ministers of reconciliation. As GOD directs and provides, we minister to those who are hurting, that they might see Jesus in us. From His Word, we disciple one another in love, so that all may know that we are His disciples. As we go, we share the Good News of Jesus Christ and the forgiveness He has already paid for, and invites all to hear and believe, that in believing they might have life in His Name.
For GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance and the knowledge of the Truth. Jesus loves you and wants to establish a covenant relationship with you that is real and personal. Surrender to Him on His terms and He will give you a brand new life of discipleship and fellowship with Him that is abundant and everlasting. GOD calls you to trust Him and what He has already done for you to pay your sIn debt. He has provided the only way of reconciliation with GOD with forgiveness and Salvation through Jesus Christ, the Son of GOD who is GOD the Son, to give you a new life in Christ. Turn away from yourself and your sIn and turn to Him alone for eternal Life, now and always.
