The word that Jeremiah the prophet spake unto Baruch the son of Neriah, when he had written these words in a book at the mouth of Jeremiah, in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, saying, Thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel, unto thee, O Baruch; Thou didst say, Woe is me now! for the LORD hath added grief to my sorrow; I fainted in my sighing, and I find no rest. Thus shalt thou say unto him, The LORD saith thus; Behold, that which I have built will I break down, and that which I have planted I will pluck up, even this whole land. And seekest thou great things for thyself? seek them not: for, behold, I will bring evil upon all flesh, saith the LORD: but thy life will I give unto thee for a prey in all places whither thou goest. (Jeremiah 45:1-5)
Sometimes those around us suffer as well for our obedience to GOD, but that should not deter us from being obedient to the One who has bought us. Jesus Christ calls us to a life of discipleship in Him and through Him. He has given us a brand new life, and we now life because of Him and for Him.
We can have comfort in the midst of trouble, knowing that even if our enemies take it all, even our life here, Jesus gives us everything we need and we will always be with Him. He taught us that in whatever state we are in to be content, and to trust Him. That is true peace and should embolden us to tell others of their need for Jesus Christ and the forgiveness of sIn they can receive because of the Cross of Calvary.
IF you don't yet know GOD and have a covenant relationship with Jesus Christ that is real and personal, GOD wants you to surrender to Him on His terms and repent. Turn from your sIn, and receive Him by faith in His finished work in your place. Beleive Jesus loves you and wants to give you a brand new life in Him that is abundant and everlasting. He is not willing that you should perish, but you must be born again to see the Kingdom of GOD.
GOD knows what is best for you, trust and obey Him.
In Christ,
