Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the Will of GOD abideth for ever. (1Jn 2:15-17)
The same desire that tempted Adam and Eve and led to sIn and death is still present in this broken and sinful world. We are to resist all temptation with the power of the Holy Spirit within and the Word of GOD, and stand strong against that which would enslave us once again into the bondage of sIn.
This lost and dying world is not our Home, and it will soon dissolve away under the mighty hand of GOD's Judgment. We are to be holy people, set apart and sanctified, always abounding in the work of GOD.
That work is ministering to the lost, while not condoning or celebrating their sIn; edifying and encouraging one another unto good works, and preaching and teaching the Word of GOD. We are to tell this world of the love of Jesus Christ demonstrated by His finished and perfect work on the Cross of Calvary. We are to tell them of the Good News of Salvation for those who surrender to Him on His terms and are born again. We are commanded to go, and as we go, preach the Gospel of mercy and grace from GOD for those who repent and believe in Jesus Christ for forgiveness of their sIn.
For GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance and the knowledge of the Truth. Jesus loves you and wants to establish a covenant relationship with you that is real and personal. Believe His Word and trust Him and the payment for your sIn that He made on that cruel Roman cross, and He will give you a brand new life of discipleship and fellowship with Him that is abundant and everlasting. Jesus is calling you to surrender to Him on His terms and come to the Father by Him today.
