And Moses called Bezaleel and Aholiab, and every wise hearted man, in whose heart the LORD had put wisdom, even every one whose heart stirred him up to come unto the work to do it: And they received of Moses all the offering, which the children of Israel had brought for the work of the service of the sanctuary, to make it withal. And they brought yet unto him free offerings every morning. And all the wise men, that wrought all the work of the sanctuary, came every man from his work which they made; And they spake unto Moses, saying, The people bring much more than enough for the service of the work, which the LORD commanded to make. And Moses gave commandment, and they caused it to be proclaimed throughout the camp, saying, Let neither man nor woman make any more work for the offering of the sanctuary. So the people were restrained from bringing. For the stuff they had was sufficient for all the work to make it, and too much. (Exo 36:2-7)
The crafters and artisans assigned to build the Tabernacle began to collect the offerings that the people brought in and soon realized that the people had brought in more than enough for the work that was to be done. Moses finally had to put an end to the free-will offering for the Tabernacle, for their was sufficient goods and materials for the work and construction of the place of Worship.
When GOD's people see a need and respond willingly and cheerful to a call from GOD to give, there is abundance and sufficiency. GOD provides, many times through His people, and is always on time. This work was for His Tabernacle, where He would meet the people, through the priests and their offerings. He moved all the people to contribute to the work. Even in the offering for the construction He is glorified and worshipped.
Today, GOD meets with His people in their spirit, for the Spirit of GOD dwells within because of our faith in His finished and perfect work on the Cross of Calvary. GOD's people meet in fellowship and worship in congregations that perform the work of GOD as He gives the increase. Because of what GOD has given us, in Salvation through Jesus Christ, and blessings besides, we bring our offerings willingly and cheerfully to the storehouse where GOD can and does bless us to the work of the ministry.
GOD's people are to come together for worship, for fellowship, and for ministry. We also come together for encouragement, discipleship in His Word, equipping for the battles we are in, and correction and consolation when that is needed also. We work together to minister to the hurting and in need. We disciple one another in love so that we might grow in grace and the knowledge of Him. We go out from the fellowship, and as we go, we proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ to all who will hear, that in hearing the Gospel, they may believe and in believing have life in His Name.
For GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance and the knowledge of the Truth. Jesus loves you and wants to establish a covenant relationship with you that is real and personal. Surrender to Him on His terms and He will give you a brand new life of discipleship and fellowship with Him that is abundant and everlasting. GOD calls you to trust Him and what He has already done for you to pay your sIn debt. He has provided the only way of reconciliation with GOD with forgiveness and Salvation through Jesus Christ, the Son of GOD who is GOD the Son, to give you a new life in Christ. Turn away from yourself and your sIn and turn to Him alone for eternal Life, now and always.
