Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love Him. Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of GOD: for GOD cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth He any man: But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sIn: and sIn, when it is finished, bringeth forth death. (Jas 1:12-15)
Victory will be rewarded, and we overcome temptations through the blood of Jesus Christ and not in our own strength. When we allow that old nature of sIn to once again take hold, we are drawn away from the purity and righteousness of Christ, but there is Hope. If we confess our sIn, He is faithful and will forgive those that repent and surrender to Him on His terms, just as we did when we were born again.
We must stand strong in His Word, in our faith in His finished and perfect work on the Cross of Calvary, and in the Spirit of GOD, looking unto Jesus the Author and finisher of our faith. One day He will return and take us out of this world and to our Heavenly Home to be with Him and sIn will no longer be present in us. He has already removed the penalty, and can overcome the power. That is the Good News that we must tell all who will hear. Salvation through the blood of Jesus Christ is the victory that overcomes the world.
For GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance and the knowledge of the Truth. Jesus loves you and wants to establish a covenant relationship with you that is real and personal. Believe His Word and trust Him for forgiveness and Salvation and He will give you a brand new life of discipleship and fellowship with Him that is abundant and everlasting. Receive Him and His victory over sIn and death.
In Christ,
