Wisdom is before him that hath understanding; but the eyes of a fool are in the ends of the earth. A foolish son is a grief to his father, and bitterness to her that bare him. Also to punish the just is not good, nor to strike princes for equity. He that hath knowledge spareth his words: and a man of understanding is of an excellent spirit. Even a fool, when he holdeth his peace, is counted wise: and he that shutteth his lips is esteemed a man of understanding. (Pro 17:24-28)
Looking to GOD for wisdom and understanding from His Word instead of chasing every new thing, and every wind of false doctrine is best. GOD has revealed to us from Scripture the essentials He wants us to know about Himself;His character and nature, His creation of man and all things, and His provision for salvation of His rebellious people. A person of excellent character seeks GOD and understands what GOD has revealed.
Don't be foolish and reject GOD. The GOD that created you, loves you, and want you to know and follow Him.
Don't be foolish and act as if He doesn't exist while claiming to be one of His.
Don't be foolish and disobey His direct commands and commission to you.
Don't be foolish and reject His call and control over your life, since if you are His it is not your life anymore.
Be wise, look to GOD for salvation, follow Him, Obey Him; and if you know Him, tell others about Jesus Christ and what He is doing in and for you.
