What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sIn, that grace may abound? GOD forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sIn, live any longer therein? Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into His death? Therefore we are buried with Him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been planted together in the likeness of His death, we shall be also in the likeness of His resurrection: Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with Him, that the body of sIn might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sIn. For he that is dead is freed from sIn. (Rom 6:1-7)
Our Salvation is not a license to sIn all we want, but Liberty to live in Christ and through the power of the indwelling Spirit of GOD to live as He would live. Those who are truly born again and have a secure relationship with GOD through our faith in His finished and perfect work on the Cross of Calvary, are free. Free to live apart from sIn because we are forgiven, free to do the work He has for us to do because of His love and our love for Him, and free to accomplish His will here in this lost and dying world because we now love others as He does.
When we who know Christ, are baptized after we believe, we show what we already have, a new life in Christ, dead to our former life and sIn, and now walking in newness of life, raised up to a new nature, and a new purpose. For GOD's purpose in us, is to conform us to the image of His dear Son, to send us as His ambassadors to those who have not heard or believed, and to disciple one another in His Word that we might grow thereby. We are dead to the Law, dead to sIn, and dead to ourselves; and we are to now walk in Him, doing His will, and living His life in us and through us, as we continue to surrender to Him on His terms, because of His mercy, love, and grace.
His will for us, as His children, is to grow in Him, minister to others as He gives the increase, and proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ that we have received by faith in Him. We are to, as ministers of reconciliation, reach out to those who are hurting and in need, that they may see Jesus in us, the hope of glory. We are to love one another, and disciple one another in GOD's Word, as our necessary food. We are to go to this world with the Gospel and as we go, tell all who will hear of His love, mercy, and forgiveness of sIn, so that those who believe in Him and repent of their sins might have life in His Name.
For GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance and the knowledge of the Truth. Jesus loves you and wants to establish a covenant relationship with you that is real and personal. Surrender to Him on His terms and He will give you a brand new life of discipleship and fellowship with Him that is abundant and everlasting. GOD calls you to trust Him and what He has already done for you to pay your sIn debt. He has provided the only way of reconciliation with GOD with forgiveness and Salvation through Jesus Christ, the Son of GOD who is GOD the Son, to give you a new life in Christ. Turn away from yourself and your sIn and turn to Him alone for eternal Life, now and always.
