How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter. Of such an one will I glory: yet of myself I will not glory, but in mine infirmities. For though I would desire to glory, I shall not be a fool; for I will say the truth: but now I forbear, lest any man should think of me above that which he seeth me to be, or that he heareth of me. And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure. For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. And He said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for My strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. (2Co 12:4-9)
In the flesh, it is too easy for us to attempt to boast, or glorify ourselves, or think of our accomplishments, but for those in Christ, we must remember that it is all about Him. We must decrease and He must increase. As we grow in Him, that which is of this world must fade and pass away, and that which is of our Father must increase in us through the power and work of the Holy Spirit which we have of GOD.
Even in our service to Him and for Him as His ambassadors, we are to show Him to those we serve who are hurting and in need. We are to become more like Him as we grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, through His Word. We are to love one another as Christ loves us, for we are members one of another. We are to take Christ and His Gospel with us, and as we go, proclaim the Good News of Salvation by grace through faith to all those who repent of their sIn and receive Him by trusting in His finished and perfect work on the Cross of Calvary that they might have life in His Name.
For GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance and the knowledge of the Truth. Jesus loves you and wants to establish a covenant relationship with you that is real and personal. Surrender to Him on His terms and He will give you a brand new life of discipleship and fellowship with Him that is abundant and everlasting. GOD calls you to trust Him and what He has already done for you to pay your sIn debt. He has provided the only way of reconciliation with GOD with forgiveness and Salvation through Jesus Christ, the Son of GOD who is GOD the Son, to give you a new life in Christ. Turn away from yourself and your sIn and turn to Him alone for eternal Life, now and always.
In Christ,
