Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;) That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth. And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ; Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of GOD from the heart; With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men: Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free. And, ye masters, do the same things unto them, forbearing threatening: knowing that your Master also is in Heaven; neither is there respect of persons with Him. (Eph 6:1-9)
Our Lord calls us to holiness and righteousness, whether in family, personal, business, or leadership, relationships. We are to be obedient to those over us, for we serve the Lord Christ. We are to be servant leaders, for we follow our Lord who humbly served His Father and gives us the perfect example of meek (not weak) leadership which equips and encourages those we lead. We are to be in submission one to another for we have surrendered to Jesus Christ in repentance and faith in His finished and perfect work on the Cross of Calvary and we are not the person we used to be. We are not to lord our position and authority over others to do our will, but lead and direct as GOD guides us in doing His will and His work in this world.
No matter what our job, career, profession, or work, even if at home or in school: GOD has called us to do it as unto Him, for He is the real Master we serve. He has put us in that position to glorify Him and for us to reach out to others with the message of Salvation that they might be saved. He will reward our faithful service, bless our obedience to Him, and provide for our every need in His time. He is Lord of all, and will never leave us or forsake us. There is no secular or religious work or jobs, for every thing we do is to glorify Him and further His kingdom. He has planted you where you are and will use you there if you will give Him every thing, and offer yourself as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto GOD, which is your reasonable service.
We are not to be conformed to this world, but transformed by the renewing of our minds, through His Word, to do His Word in obedience, His work as His ambassadors and servants, and His will in this lost and dying world. We are to minister to those around us who are hurting and in need as GOD gives the increase. We are to love one another as He loves us, and disciple one another in His Word, that the whole body, in the unity of the Spirit, may grow into the full measure of Him. We are to take the Gospel of Jesus Christ from His Word with us where He sends us, and as we go, tell others of faith in Him and the Good News of repentance and forgiveness that they may believe and receive life in His Name.
For GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance and the knowledge of the Truth. Jesus loves you and wants to establish a covenant relationship with you that is real and personal. Surrender to Him on His terms and He will give you a brand new life of discipleship and fellowship with Him that is abundant and everlasting. GOD calls you to trust Him and what He has already done for you to pay your sIn debt. He has provided the only way of reconciliation with GOD with forgiveness and Salvation through Jesus Christ, the Son of GOD who is GOD the Son, to give you a new life in Christ. Turn away from yourself and your sIn and turn to Him alone for eternal Life, now and always.
