The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord. It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the Master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of His household? Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known. What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops. And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear Him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. (Mat 10:24-28)
Jesus told His disciples, when He sent them to various parts of Israel in His Name, to preach the Gospel, and not to fret over the response. No matter what the unbelievers brought against them, they were not to fear, for GOD would have them secure, and have their back. GOD is greater than any earthly threat, and all that this world can bring against us, is temporary, compared to the eternity we have secured in Christ because of our faith in His finished and perfect work on the Cross of Calvary.
As committed and disciplined followers of the Master, Jesus Christ, we are to be like Him. We are to go where He sends us, do what He tells us, and reflect Him to this lost and dying world. We should not fear the threats, for GOD is in control. We don't need to fear the 'rules', for our GOD is our Authority. We know they will come, for they threatened, accused falsely, and persecuted our Lord Jesus Christ; many of His followers through the ages, and even today, just as He said. But, GOD has the victory, and has already won the war, and will give us victory in the battles we face, if we trust Him.
Along the way, until He takes us Home to be with Him, we are to be His ambassadors and witnesses to this lost and dying world, even when they hate and despitefully use us. We are to be ministers of reconciliation to those who are hurting, as wise as serpents, but as gentle as doves, that they might see Jesus in us. We are to be His disciples, expressing His love for one another, even in the face of persecution and growing in His Word. As we go, we are to take the Gospel of Jesus Christ to those who need to hear, and share His Truth and the Good News of forgiveness of sIn to those who are without, even when they hate us for it. We are to tell them, even when many don't want to hear it, that some might believe and in believing have life in His Name.
For GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance and the knowledge of the Truth. Jesus loves you and wants to establish a covenant relationship with you that is real and personal. Surrender to Him on His terms and He will give you a brand new life of discipleship and fellowship with Him that is abundant and everlasting. GOD calls you to trust Him and what He has already done for you to pay your sIn debt. He has provided the only way of reconciliation with GOD with forgiveness and Salvation through Jesus Christ, the Son of GOD who is GOD the Son, to give you a new life in Christ. Turn away from yourself and your sIn and turn to Him alone for eternal Life, now and always.
