Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in Heavenly places in Christ: According as He hath chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, To the praise of the Glory of His grace, wherein He hath made us accepted in the beloved. In whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace; Wherein He hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence; Having made known unto us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He hath purposed in Himself: That in the dispensation of the fulness of times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in Heaven, and which are on earth; even in Him: (Eph 1:3-10)
Resuming our journey through Paul's letters, after taking a side trip through John's Gospel and letters, we now pick up with the prison letters. Paul speaking to the church at Ephesus assures us that Christ's plan for His people is not a plan B. He has always willed the Salvation of those who come to GOD the Father through repentance and faith in the finished and perfect work of Jesus Christ, the Son of GOD who is GOD the Son, on the Cross of Calvary. Even before Adam sinned, and we in Adam, our GOD had determined, not who would be saved and who would not, but that all who are born again by faith in Him would be holy and blameless in Christ, conformed through the Spirit and the Word of GOD to the image of His dear Son.
Jesus Christ, the Lamb of GOD slain from the foundation of the world, went willingly and humbly to the Cross in obedience to the Father's will and to accomplish the work of Salvation and pay the sIn debt we cannot pay. Our Lord came at the right time, that had been chosen by the Father, in complete submission to His Father, and put on flesh, made in the likeness of men, and was obedient unto death, even the death of the cross, in our place and for our sIn, for He was without sIn. We are made righteous in Christ Jesus, not to continue in sIn or to live as we want, but in the liberty of Christ we are free to live for Him and accomplish His will and work while we are here in this broken and sinful world.
In obedience to our Lord, we do His will and do the good works which He hath before ordained that we should walk in them, not to earn Heaven or righteousness, for we cannot by any means affect our own Salvation, but because of His love for us, that we express to others around us who are hurting and in need. We love one another, accepted in the beloved, and making disciples who make disciples through His Word and keeping the unity of the Spirit. We proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all we meet, as we go where He sends us, that those who need to hear the Good News might repent and believe and have life in His Name.
For GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance and the knowledge of the Truth. Jesus loves you and wants to establish a covenant relationship with you that is real and personal. Surrender to Him on His terms and He will give you a brand new life of discipleship and fellowship with Him that is abundant and everlasting. GOD calls you to trust Him and what He has already done for you to pay your sIn debt. He has provided the only way of reconciliation with GOD with forgiveness and Salvation through Jesus Christ, the Son of GOD who is GOD the Son, to give you a new life in Christ. Turn away from yourself and your sIn and turn to Him alone for eternal Life, now and always.
