And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and He healed their sick. And when it was evening, His disciples came to Him, saying, This is a desert place, and the time is now past; send the multitude away, that they may go into the villages, and buy themselves victuals. But Jesus said unto them, They need not depart; give ye them to eat. And they say unto Him, We have here but five loaves, and two fishes. He said, Bring them hither to Me. And He commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass, and took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up to Heaven, He blessed, and brake, and gave the loaves to His disciples, and the disciples to the multitude. And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the fragments that remained twelve baskets full. And they that had eaten were about five thousand men, beside women and children. (Mat 14:14-21)
Jesus ministered to the people, for He had compassion on them and their needs. The people responded by wanting more bread, and yet hating the message of the Gospel that Jesus gave. GOD provides in His time, and for His purposes, but people cannot become dependent on the miracle alone but on GOD, nor should we begin to expect the miracles. Every day life must be lived, all the while acknowledging Him in it, that He might direct our paths, but when the miraculous becomes commonplace, it is no longer a miracle of provision, it becomes expected, and GOD becomes our genie and servant, instead of us serving Him.
GOD expects His people to live by faith, and serve Him, to walk in the Spirit as He did when He walked this earth, doing the ministry that the Father called Him to do. We are to be about our Father's business, knowing Him through His Word, giving an answer to every one that asks us a reason for the hope that is in us, and living the Gospel we preach. We are to be His ambassadors, and ministers of reconciliation, sharing the message of mercy and love, as well as judgment and sIn, to all that will hear.
As we serve GOD, and do the work that He has called us to do, we are to minister to the hurting and in need, that they may see Jesus in us, the hope of glory. We are to disciple one another in love and in His Word, that we may grow thereby, and others shall know that we are His disciples. We are to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ to all that we meet, and as we go tell all who will hear and believe, that they might have life in His Name.
For GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance and the knowledge of the Truth. Jesus loves you and wants to establish a covenant relationship with you that is real and personal. Surrender to Him on His terms and He will give you a brand new life of discipleship and fellowship with Him that is abundant and everlasting. GOD calls you to trust Him and what He has already done for you to pay your sIn debt. He has provided the only way of reconciliation with GOD with forgiveness and Salvation through Jesus Christ, the Son of GOD who is GOD the Son, to give you a new life in Christ. Turn away from yourself and your sIn and turn to Him alone for eternal Life, now and always.
In Christ,
