And the LORD said unto Jacob, Return unto the land of thy fathers, and to thy kindred; and I will be with thee. And Jacob sent and called Rachel and Leah to the field unto his flock, And said unto them, I see your father's countenance, that it is not toward me as before; but the GOD of my father hath been with me. And ye know that with all my power I have served your father. And your father hath deceived me, and changed my wages ten times; but GOD suffered him not to hurt me.
And Rachel and Leah answered and said unto him, Is there yet any portion or inheritance for us in our father's house? Are we not counted of him strangers? for he hath sold us, and hath quite devoured also our money. For all the riches which GOD hath taken from our father, that is ours, and our children's: now then, whatsoever GOD hath said unto thee, do.
So he fled with all that he had; and he rose up, and passed over the river, and set his face toward the mount Gilead. (Gen 31:3-7, 14-16, 21)
GOD does things in His own time, and His timing is perfect. We don't always know His timing, so we must trust His ways and lean on Him and not our own understanding. Even when things don't seem to be working out for us the way we want them to, He will keep His promises. While not all the promises in the Scriptures apply to us, we can rest in Him and believe everything will work together for our growth in Him and His glory.
He loves us and knows us better than we know ourselves, and wants what is best for us. Our GOD knows the end from the beginning, and we are assured from His Word that He is in control and still on the Throne, King of Kings, and Lord of Lords, and He cannot fail. Until He calls us Home to be with Him, He has commanded us to tell everyone of His love, and to warn them of the Judgment to come. We are commissioned to be His ambassadors to this lost and dying world. We are to minister to the hurting, to disciple one another, and to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ to all who will hear and trust in what He has already done for our sIn in His finished and perfect work on the Cross of Calvary. As we go, we are to tell them of His grace that they might believe, and believing have life in His Name.
For GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance and the knowledge of the Truth. Jesus loves you and wants to establish a covenant relationship with you that is real and personal. Surrender to Him on His terms and He will give you a brand new life of discipleship and fellowship with Him that is abundant and everlasting. Turn away from your sIn and unrighteousness and trust what He has already done for you to pay your sIn debt. Just as He provided for Jacob and his family, He has provided forgiveness and Salvation through Jesus Christ, the Son of GOD who is GOD the Son, and is our Life. Turn away from yourself and your sIn and turn to Him alone for eternal Life.
In Christ,
