Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of Him that sent me, and to finish His work. Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest. And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together. And herein is that saying true, One soweth, and another reapeth. I sent you to reap that whereon ye bestowed no labour: other men laboured, and ye are entered into their labours. (Joh 4:34-38)
Jesus came and did the will of the Father in all things. He was without sIn, and after finishing the work which the Father had given him in His earthly ministry, He willingly and humbly became sIn for us, that we might be made the righteousness of GOD in Him. Not in the Law, which cannot justify anyone, nor in our own righteousness which is as filthy rags, but in Him. When we repent of our sIn that put Him on that Cross, and put our faith and trust in His finished and perfect work on the Cross of Calvary in our place, His righteousness is placed in our account and we are reconciled with GOD.
His people, those truly born again from above, are to go and work where He sends us, to reap the harvest of Salvation and to sow the Gospel that all may repent and come to a right relationship with GOD through Jesus Christ. We are to do His will and work, just as He did the will and work of the Father, until He is finished with us, and calls us Home to be with Him. We should not be focused on who is doing the work, for it is all for Him, and His Spirit within us, nor should we focus on our little kingdoms here on earth, for without Him we are nothing and can do nothing. All our labour is in, through and for Jesus Christ, the Son of GOD who is GOD the Son and who has purchased us through His own blood on that tree.
Because of who we are in Him and because He is in us, we are to go and minister to those around us who are hurting and in need. We are to grow in grace and in His Word, as His disciples and followers, loving one another and being conformed to the image of His dear Son. We are to go where He sends us, and as we go, proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ to this lost and dying world that those who hear the Good News that we have of forgiveness and reconciliation, trusting in Him with repentance and faith might have life in His Name.
For GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance and the knowledge of the Truth. Jesus loves you and wants to establish a covenant relationship with you that is real and personal. Surrender to Him on His terms and He will give you a brand new life of discipleship and fellowship with Him that is abundant and everlasting. GOD calls you to trust Him and what He has already done for you to pay your sIn debt. He has provided the only way of reconciliation with GOD with forgiveness and Salvation through Jesus Christ, the Son of GOD who is GOD the Son, to give you a new life in Christ. Turn away from yourself and your sIn and turn to Him alone for eternal Life, now and always.
