And there was a famine in the land: and Abram went down into Egypt to sojourn there; for the famine was grievous in the land. And it came to pass, when he was come near to enter into Egypt, that he said unto Sarai his wife, Behold now, I know that thou art a fair woman to look upon: Therefore it shall come to pass, when the Egyptians shall see thee, that they shall say, This is his wife: and they will kill me, but they will save thee alive. Say, I pray thee, thou art my sister: that it may be well with me for thy sake; and my soul shall live because of thee. (Gen 12:10-13)
While we should be faithful and obedient, and GOD will chasten our disobedience and lack of faith, He can and will use us despite ourselves. Our weaknesses give glory because of His strength. That doesn't mean we go out and purposefully sin or rebel, for that would be presumption and willful disobedience. GOD however, can and does work in and for us despite our failures to bring about His will and His work until the last sinner who will, comes to Christ in repentance and faith, surrendering to Him on His terms and receiving Him by faith in His finished and perfect work on the Cross of Calvary.
Until that day, or until He is through with us, the Church, the blood bought people of GOD are to be about our Father's business. We are to minister to the hurting as GOD provides, we are to disciple one another in love and His Word, and we are to proclaim the Good News of Salvation in Jesus Christ to this lost and dying world.
For GOD is not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance and the knowledge of the Truth. Jesus loves you and wants to establish a covenant relationship with you that is real and personal. Just as He called Abraham, He calls you to repentance and faith in Him and what He has already done for you on that cruel Roman cross. Trust His Word and surrender to Him on His terms and He will give you a brand new life of discipleship and fellowship with Him that is abundant and everlasting. Receive Him by faith for forgiveness and your Salvation today.
In Christ,
